Christmas Greetings!

Merry Christmas to y'all!  I was fortunate to spend Christmas Eve with my family and we enjoyed a very casual supper.

These are some photos of the tablescape...

"HERE'S WHAT I WORE"  The tartan dress is by Brooks Brothers and the headband is Ferragamo.  I wore a black cashmere cardi and black Chanel ballet flats.

Now, all the rush is through and I am relaxing on the sofa...enjoying a Kahlua and coffee by the fire.

I wish you all a very Happy Christmas!

Styleboards

Today I'm featuring a couple of styleboards that I have hanging on the walls of my bedroom.  These were custom made for me by Dana Henderson.  Dana just opened a store in Warner Robins, Georgia--The Vintage Junktion.  Stop over and visit her on Facebook.

I'm using the styleboard above to display my Hermes Knotting Cards.  I believe there are at least 5 volumes of the cards and mine are from volume 2.  These are not available at Hermes for sale, but you can purchase them on eBay.  You can also download the app Hermes Silk Knots onto your iPhone!

There are 21 cards in each box with the photo of the scarf style on the front of the card and a diagram of how-to-knot the scarf on the back.

This is the front and back of the Bras Casse style...ala Grace Kelly!

This is the petit papillon style

This is the cow-boy style...one of my favorites!

Echarpe style...

Taille De Guepe style

Twilly style...The Twilly scarf is fast becoming my favorite and now twillies are available in a maxi size!

I want to purchase the Hermes scarf ring...it's on my "Wish List."

Miss Dana also made this styleboard which I'm using to display my Chanel notecards and flower pins...

I love the feminine touch that displaying the cards and pins brings to the room.  It is hung on the wall near my vanity table and looks real prissy!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Gravity

In anticipation of seeing the movie 'Gravity' I spent the morning reading up on one of my favorite movie stars Sandra Bullock.  This is a photo I posted to Instagram, styling the magazine with my Chanel "Cinema" nail colour and "Star Red" lip colour...perfect shades for Miss Bullock!

'Gravity' is a 90-minute breath-taking, thriller starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.  Mr. Clooney {Matt Kowalski} is a veteran astronaut in the space adventure and Sandra Bullock {Ryan Stone} is a medical engineer who is taking her first voyage into space.  They are on a routine mission when they receive a message from Houston Control that a Russian satellite has exploded, thus causing a shower of debris to come flying right at them.  Now they are both adrift in space...

The special effects and 3-D made me feel like I was right up there in space with them.  Lord have mercy, this is an intense movie y'all!

I enjoyed the movie and now see online that it is getting good reviews...so check it out!

I never tire of seeing Sandra Bullock.  She seems so real in every part she plays.  The 49-year-old actress lives a paparazzi-free life in Houston, Texas, where she is raising her 3-year-old son Louis.  Isn't he precious?!

Vogue magazine did a fabulous job capturing her in the photos of this month's issue...

In a gown by Michael Kors...

Dressed in a stunning Calvin Klein dress...

Looking fabulous in Donna Karan...

She still has the look...in this leather Prada dress.  Even though her hair is short in the photos and also in the film, I do believe she's wearing a wig as I have seen recent photos of her with long hair.

Dressing Area

My makeup was taking over the vanity in our bathing area, so I decided to move all my Chanel cosmetics, fragrances, and accessories out to the boudoir.  I really love it because I also have all my Chanel books and other loot all together in one area.  The vanity table is really a better place to apply my makeup because of the long window behind it which provides a lot of natural light.  The tabletop is quite crowded, but holds all my pretties and has drawers to store more of my Chanel goodies.  I'm such a hoarder with makeup; when I find a certain color of lipstick, I will buy several tubes so I won't run out.

On the wall to the left of the table, I have a style board that holds my special Chanel cards and flower pins.

I found this cute dress form at HomeGoods and decorated her with some of my Chanel goodies. Of course I named her... "Mademoiselle."

Flower pins and pearls...

Black and gold chain belt...

Small size classic flap bag with gold hardware...

I've also decided to start taking my OOTD photos somewhere else beside the bathing area.  I found this mirror at Kirkland's and it goes well with the colors in my room.

I hope y'all have enjoyed the tour of my new dressing area.  Thank you for visiting with me today!

Over the Weekend

I hope y'all have had a great weekend.  My BF Miss Joy is visiting from Tybee Island, Georgia and we have doing fun, girly things since her arrival on Friday night.

Yesterday, I wore one of all-time favorite Lilly shifts in the 'Charmed I'm Sure' pattern, with a black cardi and a black pony bow.  I carried my black Chanel '2.55' with silver hardware and wore my black Cochni ballet flats, along with my pearl necklace and earrings.

When my friend pulled her car up in the front of the house, I was helping her unload her bags.  I noticed she brought a BAG FULL of flip flops.  I asked her "Joy, it's after Labor Day--why all the flip flops?"  She just laughed and said she was watching the Today Show the other day and they said it was acceptable now to wear flip flops after Labor Day.  I yelled at her and jokingly replied "Have you lost your ever-lovin' mind?  Those people are Yankees, of course that's what they are gonna say."  I then told her she was forbidden to wear open toe shoes after Labor Day at my house.  Well, this is the outfit she wore the next day...

Turquoise and lime are truly her favorite colors.  The dress is from Macy's the cardi is from JCrew.  The turquoise and lime flip flops...from her collection of over 100 pairs.  After all, she does live ON the beach!

Of course, all her jewelry was turquoise and lime...

Our first stop out was to a birthday party for 2 special girls...Leslie and Melanie, daughters of our friends Lane and Lester.  These girls are smooth operators.  They begged and received very pricey tickets to attend the Justin Bieber concert in January and promised that was all they both wanted for their birthdays.  Then it was, "We want a party also!"  Well Mama Lane put together a last-minute, tropical theme cookout for their friends to celebrate their birthdays!  Good food.  Good friends.

I took the opportunity to get some love and kisses from their Yorkie Miss Cici!

Then we were off to the Club for Charity Bunco...we lost!  Boo hiss!

Our Supper Club got together last night at The Tiki Bar in Fort Pierce.  It was a breezy South Florida evening and a great night for enjoying "Merlot Hour" and some seafood while overlooking the water.

Today we took off shopping and made a pit stop at Chipotle.  I haven't had their delicious chicken bowl meal in over 4 months.  Oh my goodness, I do love Chipotle!!!

Then it was time to do what we do best...Shop Shop!  We found some great deals at the Vero Beach Outlet Mall...J Crew, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger.  Fun times!

Thank you visiting with me today.  I'm excited about the coming week and happy to spend time with my friend Joy!

Outfits of the Day

The other day I was reading an article online about how people post the same photos on different social media sites...and that's a faux pas.  Oops, that's what I'm doing!  So, if haven't seen my Outfits of the Day yet...on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram {SocialGraces101}, here's a few from the past week.

Ralph Lauren white jeans, Lilly rugby shirt and cardi, Lilly 'Roped In' ballet flats, seersucker monogrammed hairbow, Rolex Chameleon watch, gold cut out monogrammed earrings, 'Eternity' wedding band by Cartier, and a pink skinny belt w/ a gold frog buckle.

Miss Coco was dressed and out and about this week.  We are both wearing 'Millionaire's Row' by Lilly and I'm wearing a denim Molly B jacket, and Lilly pink mules.   I wore my Rolex 'Oyster Perpetual' watch, silver monogrammed necklace, and 'Eternity' wedding band by Cartier.  I also used my 'Millionaire's Row' koozie.

Dressed in black and grey in the summertime...Lord have mercy!  The shorts are Ralph Lauren, the gray ruffled cardi is J Crew as is the flower belt.  My pony scarf and wristlet are by Coach.  The silver pendant, earrings, ring, and bracelet are monogrammed.  I'm wearing my Rolex 'Oyster Perpetual watch, 'Eternity' wedding band by Cartier, and my black Chanel ballet flats.

Back to some happy colors...pink and orange!  I bought this tunic at the Snapple Turtle in Delray Beach and wore it with my white Ralph Lauren capri pants.  The flip flops and the earrings are both Tory Burch.  The daisy pendant is Lilly Pulitzer and I wore an orange headband monogrammed in pink.

That's what I've been wearing lately.  It's finally getting hot as blazes here in South Florida...now I'm just waiting on Fall!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope y'all are having a fabulous weekend!

Happy Times!

So it's time for a little joy in my life!  I've talked about my friend of 40 years {Miss Joy} before and showed y'all her fabulous beach cottage, remember?  Well, Joy's son Sean just graduated, with highest honors, from Georgia Tech.  Joy drove up to Atlanta from Savannah to be with him last weekend on his special day.  After some well-deserved celebrating with his friends back in Savannah and then spending some time with his Daddy waaaay over in Finland, Sean will be moving to Charlotte, North Carolina to start his job as a Quantitative Financial Analyst.  Lord have mercy, Joy and I had to google that...and we still don't know what it is!

My friend Joy with her son Sean...

Anyway, I love my friend Joy...we were roommates for a short while as young girls back in Augusta, we worked on cruise ships together for many years, Joy was a Bridesmaid in my wedding, and we both have something HUGE in common...we are SHOPAHOLICS!  I'm looking forward to visiting with Joy later this month at her new beach place on Tybee Island, just outside Savannah.

Miss Janice and Miss Joy

More JOY!!!  I recently attended the confirmation of my friend Lane's little girls...Melanie and Leslie.  They looked like little princesses on their special day!  God's blessings to both of these girls as they begin the spiritual journey in their lives!

Miss Leslie and Miss Melanie

My friend Lane is into baking cakes now...and she created this special beauty for the girls at the fabulous dinner which followed the service.  The top layer is strawberry and the bottom layer is red velvet!  The cake was iced with fondant and I was, of course, very impressed with Lane's cake flower making skills!

I gave the girls sterling monogrammed earrings from The Pink Monogram...something they can keep forever!

"Here's What I Wore" to the Confirmation...The shift is the 'Tutti Fruitti' pattern by Lilly and the aqua cardi is also by Lilly...love the bright pattern!
My Accessories...The wristlet is by Tory Burch and Revas by Tory Burch.

Charm bracelet, Chanel hair barrette, aqua iPhone cover, monogram necklace, earrings, & ring, 'Eternity' wedding band by Cartier, and 'Love' bracelet (gift from husband 25 years ago).

Thank you for visiting with me today and have a fabulous week y'all!
