Celebrating My Birthday Today!

Going back to a birthday many years ago...at the house on Magnolia Drive in Augusta.  With my friend Judy Moody Monsalvatge on the left.  A prissy birthday tea hosted by Mama, complete with a silver punchbowl--in the background!

Today my birthday was truly "All About ME!!!  I used this festive dinnerware by Fiestaware all day!

Started off the day with some "Clean Living" food and green tea... 

Headed out for an early dinner..."Here's What I Wore" 
The skirt is the 'Turquoise Laroc Panel, by Lilly and with a plain white tee.

My Accessories:  The coral and aqua monogrammed necklace is from The Pink Monogram, the bracelet is from The Snappy Turtle.  I wore Chanel No. 5, carried my white iPhone cover, my lipstick is 'Marigold' by Elizabeth Arden.  The white sandals are Jack Rogers and I wore my pearl earrings, 'Oyster Perpetual' Rolex, and 'Eternity' wedding band, by Cartier.

Serving cherry-topped chocolate cupcakes and wearing my Jessie Steele Cherry Cupcakes 'Audrey' apron...the same retro chic apron worn by Charlotte in SATC 2!

Definitely will be out shopping tomorrow with my birthday cash!!!

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

Today is my husband's birthday. Bless his heart, he went out to get the mail and there were two packages for MOI! He said "What?!" Oh my, I was busted. Oops!

We did what HE wanted to do...dinner and visited friends. That is what he wanted. I filled up a Bucs cooler with some goodies for him to open and then we went over to AT&T and got him a new iPhone upgrade. Here's his goodies...placed inside a tacky Bucs cooler--to used at the soirees in his "Romper Room".

Celebrating Miss Janice Day!

That's what husband calls it-- "Miss Janice Day"! It's my birthday and I'm celebrating...it'all about ME! Cards, presents, facebook birthday wishes, e-mails, texts, happy birthday tweets, a cute dress, a cute pocketbook, dinner, cake & ice cream...and pink champagne! Ooh la la! Everyday should be "Miss Janice Day"!

"HERE'S WHAT I WORE" My dress is the 'Carolina Cup' style designed especially for moi, by Annabelle Laroque.
The silk monogrammed sash sealed the deal on this dress for me!

I carried a 'Bosom Buddy Bag' available from The Pink Daisy. The pink and lime green sandals are by Jack Rogers. I wore my pearl necklace and pearl stud earrings along with my rollring wedding band by Cartier. My lipstick was 'Laser Pink' by Chanel, my pedicure was 'Lovie Dovie' by Essie, and my fragrance of choice for the evening was 'Mademoiselle' by Chanel. My iPhone cover was lime green and my ponytail was adorned with a Chanel barrette.
I first saw these precious pocketbooks in the March/April issue of Southern Lady Magazine and just knew I had to have one...the 'Bosom Buddy Bag' from The Pink Daisy.

After a fabulous dinner out, we enjoyed desserts with pink champagne!

Starbucks Birthday Cake Mini Doughnuts...Have y'all tried these yet? The are mini vanilla doughnuts topped with pink vanilla icing and white sprinkles...just the right size and so perfect with vanilla ice cream! And...they are so cute!

It's My Mama's Birthday Y'all!

Y'all please join me in wishing my Mama 'Miss Pauline' a Happy Birthday! She's 88 years old today!!! Here's a recent photo of Mama...Martha Pauline Clifton Sessums--born and raised and lived her whole life in Georgia. Mama is the epitome of a Southern Lady. She loves the Lord. She loves her family. And...like all other Southern ladies, she loves to shop and entertain. Now, when Mama was younger, she never spoke of her age. Even her relatives had no idea of her exact age:-) Not the case now! Every year it's "You know I'll soon be 85, 86, 87", et cetera. She lets us all know she is now the Matriarch of her family. Bless her heart, even today, she still thinks of others first...delivering her homemade cakes and pies to friends, neighbors, and relatives; shopping for bridal and baby gifts, and so forth. Mama taught me that...Do a little something everyday to make someone happy! If you are a long-time reader of my blog, you know that something else Mama taught me was to "Never show up empty-handed at someone's door!"
