It's the first day of summer and "National Wear Your Lilly Pulitzer Day." Well, I pretty much wear Lilly all the time, but today I'm wearing one of my favorites. It's the Lilly P Worth shift in 'Not So Crabby.' I LOVE this shift and it is definitely part of my "Pulitzer Prize" collection. I'm also carrying my pink Lilly P monogrammed Bermuda Bag and wearing my pink and green Bonannos.

Throwback Thursday
"Here's What I Wore" 31 years ago, coming back onboard the tss Carnivale after lunch and shopping ashore! LOVED this dress which I wore with white espadrilles and carried a white Bermuda Bag.
The Accessories: I still wear all of them! I wore a gold chain with add-a-beads, and a monogrammed disk necklace, with the matching monogrammed earrings, and ring. I also wore my Chameleon Rolex watch with an ivory band. I bought this precious little Rolex back in 1980. It came with several interchangeable bands to coordinate with all my outfits...obsessed with matchy matchy, even back then!

Spring Fever!
This is so true for me...
I'm just itching to pull out my Lilly shifts...they are so lonesome hanging in the back of my closet!
The other day I saw this precious print Lilly is offering, new for Spring...the pattern is "Multi Lillys State of Mind Patch." On the website, it says "Find your patch." Well, I got all excited and went looking for Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and California--all the states where I have lived. I was thinking "this could get a little expensive...a shift for each state." Well, the shift has ALL the patches for 40 different states! Lord have mercy, that will save me 3 x's about $200. Seriously, this is the cutest shift ever!
Here it is in the 'Adelson' shift...lots of lace trim at the neckline and hem.

The 'Ricci' shift is my favorite! I love the lace and the cutout details around the neckline. Of course, all my favorite Lilly shifts always have a bow and this one has a precious bow on the shoulders. I MUST HAVE IT!
Note to self: I just hope someone doesn't zero in on the patches of Wyoming, Montana, or other wild places and think that's where I from! I'll have to make sure that when I wear it, that I stand so that my "fave states" are visible!
I think I'll carry either my light blue or my light pink Lilly Bermuda Bag with this dress.
Oh, and I'll wear my white Jack Rogers sandals.
With a grosgrain ribbon ponytail bow and some pearls, this will make a real cute outfit for Spring and Summer.
So yes, I have Spring Fever and I'm excited that I finally found an Easter frock...now just looking for some cute pumps to wear with it!
Do you have Spring Fever? Are you getting together your Spring wardrobe...or maybe just adding a few new accessories to what you already have?

A Staple to the Preppy Wardrobe...Bermuda Bags
The Bermuda Bag, one of the most favorite accessories of 70's, is a staple to the preppy wardrobe. It's a round or oval-shaped pocketbook with a wooden handle and a removable cloth cover. What a relatively inexpensive way to have a pocketbook to match every outfit! I'm always on the lookout on the Re-Lilly site or Ebay for these bags. Here's my collection...
Solid and cute Lilly print covers...

Adding your monogram makes them extra cute and real Southern!
A few of mine are reversible. After they are monogrammed, obviously you cannot use the reverse side:)

One of my blog readers recently asked me about my Bermuda Bags. She was curious about 'What's inside my Bermuda Bag'. Well, I never leave home without my Chanel lipstick and there's no way I could live on a deserted island, 'cuz I'd just die without my Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm...so the lip balm is never left behind either! My iPhone is pretty much attached to my hand {so, I'm either holding it or it's in the bag} and just recently I had to start wearing readers, so the Lilly 'Beachy' readers are a must-have as well. I always carry a sample size of Lilly 'Wink' cologne and Hall's mints--which are another addiction of mine:) My Cartier writing pen is a must and of course I don't leave home without my debit card and ID card in a Gucci card case. My keys to the BMW are on my Lilly 'shift' keychain.
You really don't want to put large items {like a big folding wallet} inside, 'cuz you don't want these bags to be bulging with stuff!
