Thank You for Remembering Miss Coco

Mademoiselle Coco Chanel

From the bottom of my broken heart, I want to thank y'all for all the sweet words you have sent to comfort me in the loss of my precious Yorkie, Coco Chanel.  Some of you asked about what may have happened to her.  We really don't know.  The day before she died, she rode in the car with my husband for their weekly "banky-bank" trip.  She also went to the vet for her Bordatella medicine.  Miss Coco had a couple of health issues but this was a complete shock to us.

On Wednesday morning, my husband heard her whimper a couple of times.  He walked over to see about her and she collapsed and died instantly.  I.  Am.  Lost.  Without.  Her.  Yesterday I went through several boxes of tissues over that little dog.  She was just too precious!

Today, I'm trying to pull myself together and get out of the house.  Again, I want to thank you so much for caring and remembering Miss Coco.

I'm Taking a Sick Break!

Normally I don't discuss my health issues on the blog, but, boo hiss... I have gone and gotten sick and have "taken to my bed!" I ended up in the Emergency Room a couple of days ago with a minor issue and now need some rest. And...Just when I was getting ready to reveal some of my cute Spring "Outfits of the Day"...now, I'm laid up in bed wearing Lilly PJs.Right by my bed...on the floor is our 16-year old Jack Russell. Bless her heart, she can't comfort me, she's got her own medical issues!
However, my beloved Mlle Coco Chanel is cuddled right by my side {she enjoys the net with me} and wanted y'all to know that her Mama is okay 'cuz her Daddy's taking care of her!
The tv is on 24/7 and Puff Kitty is in charge of the remote. She is an old school lover of Lifetime Movie Network and has no problem keeping it on that station for her Mama.Hopefully, I'll be back to blogging real soon. I have a cute little giveaway lined up from Lifeguard Press.

Mlle Coco Chanel

Mlle Coco Chanel says "Merci!" to y'all for all the e-mails, texts, and phone calls during her illness.

Miss Coco was in the puppy hospital from Wednesday until yesterday with another bout of Pancreatitis. Bless her heart, this is the FOURTH time she has endured this and gets so very sick with it. The Vet doesn't know why she gets it...but we think it's either from her food or something she's eating in the back yard. She had it one time when we lived in Palm Springs, once at our Mississippi home, and now two times here in Florida. I believe she's eating bugs or whatever in the yard and that is the cause of the problem! We have spent a small fortune on this little girl, but she's worth every penny with all the love she gives!

Anyway, she's home now and resting, trying to get her strength back. I'm working around the house today...it's "Closet Moving Day!" Miss Coco is watching me go back and forth, moving my winter and summer wardrobe around and trying on clothes.

Later today, I'll go through her cute pink & green outfits and make sure her wardrobe is also ready for Spring. After a trip to be groomed later this week, she'll hopefully be set for the camera...modeling with her Mama!

4th of July Weekend

Hope y'all had a fabulous 4th of July holiday weekend! Mine was a very low-key, relaxing holiday...a lot of rain, some vege burgers & vege beans, fabulous fireworks, and rides on my new bike. Actually, I spent Monday on the sofa...wearing my stretchy pants, a tee, and house socks--watching the Casey Anthony closing arguments on television. But we won't go there anymore, right?

Mlle Coco Chanel had a relaxing weekend...happy to be home. If you follow me on Twitter, you know that Miss Coco has been a very sick little dog. She had pancreatis last week and Friday was her first day back home. I'm happy to say that she is resting and is better now...

Although she's still not her perky, fashionable self...as she was last July 4th. She said a trip to the puppy spa is definitely in order for her!
Keeping it simple for meals, I brought out my "Weekend Dinnerware"...easy cleanup and still cute!

Spent some time working in the garden and sippin' sweet tea on the front porch...

Saturday night, we walked up to our village square at Tradition to watch the fireworks. Fish tacos, fireworks, and Merlot...what a combo!!!

"HERE'S WHAT I WORE" Keeping it casual and cool on a muggy Florida night, I wore my khaki Bermuda shorts and a black Ralph Lauren polo

I wore my Chanel tan and black ballet flats, a Burberry pony cap, my rollring wedding band by Cartier, and my ponytail was adorned with a black grosgrain ribbon bow.My iPhone cover was black with white monogram and my beverage container was a white tumbler with black monogram. My lipstick was 'Star Red' by Chanel and my fragrance of choice for the evening was Burberry classic cologne.
A couple of my favorite jewelry pieces...I wore this darling Chanel charm bracelet and Chanel logo earrings...cute, cute, cute!
My pocketbook...a Burberry tote.
This was an option if it started to rain {Burberry umbrella and A/O Sperrys}...carried inside my tote!
SAY HELLO TO MY NEW BEACH CRUISER! Love this bike y'all! I used some of my birthday $$$ and got it from WALMART, yes ma'am! It is by Huffy...the 'Cranbrook Cruiser'.
Of course, I had to get this accessory...the bell. Ding a Ling!!!
The basket is from Nantucket Bike Basket. It is the 'Cisco' classic handlebar basket.
I was frustrated to find that the makers of bike bottle holders don't design them for the regular size water bottles--they design them for the larger race biker bottles:-( So I have to just throw my water bottle...covered with the darling koozie {from RougeAndCo} into the Nantucket basket. That's not a problem, 'cuz I'd rather do this than attach one of those ugly bike water bottle holders to the bike!
Can't leave home without the keys! Now my keychain is all Lilly-fied! My friend Joy gave me the little shift charm...I'm guessing she bought that in the Savannah, Georgia Lilly store. I just recently bought this little pocketbook charm. IdaClaire makes these...mine is the Lilly 'Taboo' print, monogrammed in pink. Just keeping it cute y'all!
Of course, I had to take my phone along...'cuz y'all know I'm on Casey Anthony verdict watch!!! The iPhone cover HAD to coordinate with everything...the 'Floaters' pattern by Lilly!

Thank y'all so much for stopping by today.

Taking it Easy!

YAY! It's Friday!!! I'm having a quiet evening. Last night I stayed up waaaay too late...Merry nights, sorrowful days y'all! I'm taking a stroll up to the square to get some takout for dinner. I'm much too lazy to cook tonight.

Miss Coco wants to go also, but said she did NOT want to dress up tonight! I decided to wear a Lilly shift and Mademoiselle will be wearing her matching Lilly-fied leash and collar. This is one of my all time fav Lilly shifts in the 'Soleil' pattern. The lime green cardigan is also by Lilly.
The pink and lime green Jack Rogers match the shift perfectly! See Miss Coco's 'Soleil' Lilly-fied collar and leash...she loves it! I'm wearing a pair of gold Ralph Lauren button-style earrings, my rollring wedding band by Cartier, and my 'Oyster Perpetual' watch by Rolex. My ponytail will be adorned with a pink grosgrain ribbon, my lipstick is 'Laser Pink' by Chanel, and my fragrance of choice is 'Wink' by Lilly.

"Here's What We Are Wearing" Miss Janice is wearing the 'Soleil' Lilly shift and Mlle. Coco Chanel will wear the 'Soleil' collar and leash. (You can buy the collars and leashes on ebay in different Lilly-fied patterns at Scootergroucho) The iPhone cover is lime green...I am a obsessed with coordinating!!!

Relaxing Friday night...on the couch watching a movie, while tweeting and blogging! Happy weekend y'all!
