I'm Guilty--I've Gone Back to my First Love!

Yes, it's true y'all!  I've gone back to my first love--Gucci.  You see, back in the 70's and 80's I wasn't known as Miss Janice, everyone called me Miss Gucci.  I was obsessed with all things Gucci!   Many years later, I still love all of the old-school, vintage Gucci style.
Gucci
has been designing pocketbooks, luggage, clothing, and accessories since 1921.  Although I didn't begin my Gucci obsession until 1979, I dare not tell y'all how many Gucci boutiques I have supported over the years...in the United States and abroad!

Here's a Gucci tray full of some of my goodies...watches, earrings, chain belt, and key chain...kept inside a Gucci leather jewelry case, of course.  I'm also in love with the Gucci fragrance 'Guilty'!

Today, I'm out running errands and doing a bit of shopping.  "Here's What I Wore"  The jeans, ribbon cami, and cardi are all J. Crew.

I'm sporting a Gucci watch with the red/green trim on the face, Gucci earrings--also with the red/green stripe, my Cartier 'Eternity' wedding band, and a spritz of Gucci 'Guilty'.

Obsessed with my Gucci tote!  I also use it as a laptop bag from time to time.

My Gucci logo ballet flats--I remember the day I found these at Saks...liketa died!

And, because it's been raining every single day here in South Florida, I'll be carrying one of my prize possessions...a Gucci umbrella.

For those of you who have known me for many years, yes, I'm still obsessed with Gucci!!!

It's Old...But It's Gucci!!!

Today...from Miss Janice's "Umbrella Collection"...A Gucci umbrella! It's old...as in 1980 old!!! Yes, this is one of my prized possessions. I wipe the raindrops off the cloth to protect it.
It has nice wooden end with a brass handle, and of course, the Gucci logo!
The other day, my husband took me out for lunch and to the movies..."HERE'S WHAT I WORE"

All it has to do is rain for 5 minutes and the humidity is 150% here in Florida. It felt like it was 1,000 degrees that day and I wanted to wear something loose {think stretchy pants for buttered popcorn} and cool! The white linen slacks and yellow linen big shirt was just perfect...comfy, but a bit put together.

To make it look like I didn't get ready to leave the house in less than 30 minutes, I wore my Gucci ballet flats, a silver choker with a monogrammed pendant and the matching earrings, my 'Oyster Perpetual' watch by Rolex, and my roll ring wedding band by Cartier. My ponytail was adorned with a white grosgrain ribbon, my lipstick was 'Star Red' by Chanel, and my fragrance of choice was 'Lauren' by Ralph Lauren.
I carried this cute little pouchette pocketbook also by Gucci.
Tomorrow on the blog...more vintage Gucci loot from the past!

I HIT THE GROUND RUNNING TODAY!

Yes ma'am, I did hit the ground running today...I ran in a 5k race for the Torrey Pines Institute--Race for Research! I love participating in these 5k events... it gives me a chance to try beat my personal best time! Unfortunately, this morning I did good, but did not beat my personal best that I set for myself years ago back in LaJolla, California. I justified my time this morning by telling myself that I'm getting older...Whatev! I really do feel blessed that I am able to run and hopefully benefit from the cardio workouts!

Luckily, this event was held in my neighorhood, as Torrey Pines is located in the Tradition Village, so I knew the roads...the ones I walk/run everyday! Now, I was a bit disappointed that my friend Stacey wasn't serving Bloody Marys from her front porch...there was only the event-sponsored gatorade stand near her house. Gatorade??? I don't do gatorade!!!

Well anyway y'all..."HERE'S WHAT I WORE"...

It was a chilly 54 degrees outside this morning so a warm-up jacket was in order. I found this cute pink one at Target. The black tee is by Nike and my exercise pants are from Ralph Lauren Polo.
Of course, I had to coordinate my race day look...The 'Pink Pony' cap is by Ralph Lauren Polo and the pink tennis socks are also by Ralph Lauren Polo. I wore my rollring wedding band by Cartier, my pearl stud earrings, my Lilly watch, and my Chanel sunglasses. My running shoes are by Nike and my fanny pack is by Chanel. Yes, I wore a fanny pack!

I always use a Road ID tag...just in case I fall out!
I love this little fanny pack by Chanel. The belt goes around my waist and I let it hang on the side of my waist {not in the back--yuck!} I bought it years ago in the Chanel store in Vegas, I think...maybe Beverly Hills. Anyhoo...these are the items I can't leave home without...even when I'm jogging. Lilly 'Wink' cologne sampler, Pomegranate Oil Lip Balm by Burt's Bees, my Gucci cardholder for ID & debit cards, and my keys--with the cute Lilly shift keychain!

I celebrated finishing the race with breakfast at Bob Evan's. I enjoyed a fabulous meal and had an awesome server! Now, I'm ready to get the weekend started...after a long nap!

Thank y'all for stopping by to visit today and I hope you have a blessed weekend!

I'm Out the Door...Headed to Church Y'all!

Quick post...I'm off to church and "Here's What I'm Wearing"...

This is the another linen shift from Appleseeds--the color is a bit boring for me, with the boring ivory cardigan from LL Bean over the shoulder...

After I accessorize, I like it much better. Here's a close up photo of what I'm wearing with it...My Gucci pochette and matching ballet flats (I love these shoes!), ivory color stockings, a gold monogrammed pendant and matching earrings, my Cartier roll ring wedding band, and a Chanel barrette adorning my ponytail. My fragrance and hand cream of choice today is classic Burberry--love this fragrance! For some strange reason, my photo of the shoes is blurry...the interlocking G's are not faded, no ma'am they are not:)

Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday. Please stop by later this evening...I am having a GIVEAWAY, celebrating my 100th post (or 100th-ish post)!
