Gameday Florida State vs The Citadel

We started out the morning ready for some football...

and some Chick-fil-A for Brunch!

I wore this dress from Mudpie available at Twelve Saturdays.  It was super comfy, which is more than I can say about the gold Revas!

First stop, The Wine Loft in Tallahassee for Merlot Hour with friends...

Next stop, on to The University Center Club at the stadium for more nibbles and sips!

Then it was time to watch some Seminole football.  Noles beat Citadel 37-12.

Go Noles!

Gameday Outfits and Accessories

Gameday is huge in the South and dressing up for the tailgate or the big game is a tradition.  We are going down to Tallahassee for the the FSU game on Saturday and my husband told me that I should wear shorts and tennis shoes..."Because we have a lot of walking to do and it's going to be hot!"  I looked at him and said "Are you crazy?  Do you honestly think I would show up on Gameday wearing shorts and tennis shoes?  I think you have lost your ever loving mind."

Well, I'll probably burn up and my feet will kill me on Sunday, but I plan on wearing a dress with my Revas {my OOTD is at the end of this post}.  Fashion before comfort y'all!

Here are a few of my favorites for the season...

This "Party like it's Saturday, Dress Like It's Sunday" tee from Jadelynn Brooke is adorable to wear the morning of the game or relaxing at an after-the-game party.

Shop Memento has the matching koozie!  Need this, of course!

Party Like It's Saturday, Dress Like It's Sunday Koozie

Or you could wear this cute tee from Southern Doe.

Tailgates and Touchdowns...Traditions in the South.  A cute tee also available from Jadelynn Brooke!

The Laughing Giraffe on Etsy offers this style dress in several colors.  I think it's an adorable Gameday dress.

Lilly Bee has the cutest ballet flats available in many collegiate colors, with or without the bow shoe clips.  I need to get these!

Of course, Marley Lilly has all kinds of cute Gameday loot.  LOVE the monogrammed vest!

This cute monogrammed clutch from Twelve Saturdays is also on my list.

This is my Gameday OOTD for the Florida State vs Citadel game in Tallahassee from Twelve Saturdays.

I'll be wearing these uncomfortable flats all day...Lord help me!

Of course I have a monogrammed coordinating koozie from Monogram Art.

It's football season y'all.  Enjoy!

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!

Blah Blah, right?! My team didn't make it this year and neither did my runner-up favorite team. Superbowl XLVI...To me, just two Yankee teams from up North competing for the championship! I'm not a fan of the New England Patriots or the New York Giants. But, I'll be checking out some of the commercials and looking for shots of the beautiful wives of the quarterbacks!

Team Brady: New England Quarterback and his gorgeous supermodel wife, Giselle. I'll be watching to see what she's wearing, for sure! Team Manning: New York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning and his wife Abby. I think I've mentioned on this blog before that I LOVE those Manning boys and Eli's soooo cute and his wife is a beautiful Southern girl. So, I must cheer for the Southern boy!!!

TEAM MANNING!

Of course, I'll be curious to see Madonna's halftime performance. I'm hoping she'll sing some of her old-school hits...
~"Holiday"
~"Into the Groove"
~"Material Girl"
~"Like a Virgin""
What songs are you hoping she sings or do you even care?

Everyone knows Superbowl Sunday is not a good time to try to cut back on party food...but, that's what I'm trying to do. Boo hiss. My contribution to a Superbowl spread today will be a bit boring...fresh veggies, low fat cheese, some pita crackers, and pepperoni rounds.

The snacks may be boring football food, but this container will make my contribution special. BFF Teresa Jane gave me this darling snack carrier for Christmas. I love it y'all! Southerners love to participate in "covered dish" events, and this snack carrier is sure to be a hit at social gatherings in the future.
I mixed up my Taste of Gourmet "Simply Spinach Dip" package {adding a low-fat mayo & no fat sour cream} and added chopped artichokes. You can order the dip mix from me HERE.

Have a fabulous Sunday and enjoy the game today! Stop by tomorrow morning...I'm having a giveaway!!!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Hey, Hey Tampa Bay, the Bucs know how to shine! Well not yesterday, they didn't!!! But aren't the new Swashbucklers cute? Lord have mercy, cheerleaders today look a LOT different than they did when I was a cheerleader in high school. Even the high school and college cheerleaders are so different. Back when I cheered, we just went out there and pranced around and did some fancy jumps. Now, it's a dangerous sport...well, not for the NFL girls!

It's been football-football in my house all weekend. College Gameday on Saturday, then NFL Sunday! We are huge Tampa Bay Bucs fans, but unfortunately, husband could only get the game via the computer. Ugh! Just as well. It was their season opener and they played some BAD football! Bucs lost to the Detroit Lions 27-10. Regroup Bucs. Get it together.

Well, I served husband's favorite football meal...Chili and Garlic Bread, with beer! Of course I wore my Bucs apron from my "Prissy Apron Collection."

I bought this apron from a street vendor at the Mt. Dora Crafts Festival and I wear it all season during the Bucs games!

I served Taste of Gourmet Black Bean Chili along with the tasty Taste of Gourmet Roasted Onion Garlic Bread...on a black wooden serving tray...from my "Serving Tray Collection."
The Black Bean Chili is the Taste of Gourmet Product of the Month for September. I added ground turkey and canned chopped tomatoes to the mix which is only $9.95 per box. Purchasing the chili mix in September will generate a $1.00 donation to St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Roasted Onion Garlic Bread mix is an easy quick bread with a a fascinating flavor and a real crunch of roasted onion and garlic. For $9.95/box you receive two bread mixes...a great value.

This bread boasts a great soft texture with deep onion and herb flavor--ready in only 30 minutes with versatile uses for all occasions. You can order the bread mix here.
Looking forward to next Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings! LET'S GO BUCS!!!
