To be perfectly proper, thank-you notes should be written on 'monogrammed notes' or 'correspondence cards.' Monogrammed notes are good-quality folded notepaper, white or ivory, and include a monogram (or name) on the front. Correspondence cards, which have no fold, are made from three-ply stock, white or ivory, and measure 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Your name is printed across the top. Here are just a few of the pieces of my thank-you stationery wardrobe...

Please do not e-mail your thank-you note--that is an etiquette faux pas! Begin your note by telling the person how thoughtful they are and how they always find the perfect gift for you. Mention the gift and how you will use it. Close by thanking them again.Small children should be taught that presents are given to them as acts of kindness. If you want your child to be thoughtful and courteous, you must train them to send thank-you notes.
Failure to write a thank-you note is an etiquette faux pas and it will be remembered. It is never wrong or too late to send that thank-you note!

Such a fun giveaway! Lately I have been trying to write thank you notes for actions too. I am on several committees and I think it's so important to thank people for their hard work and their positive attitudes. It then really encourages people to keep up the great work and let them know I appreciate them.

First, I just love your blog. I have been enjoying it for over a year now. Secondly, this giveaway is just too perfect. Both my mother and mother-in-law are huge Paula Deen fans. With that being said if I won this package I would have to split it amongst them.
I have been meaning to ask you is the picture of you standing next to a cardboard Paula Deen in Tunica? If so I have a picture with my mother and mother-in-law standing next to the same cardboard Paula.
P.S. They opend a new restaurant in Cherokee if you are ever interested in coming up to it my wonderful mother-in-law owns a tea room about two hours away from it.

I've been MIA for quite some time now, well.........not really MIA in general, just in the blogging world. This post is terrific! Although I am not an official "follower" of your blog (I haven't signed up, yet), I do follow it religiously. Would you give me your always tasteful opinion, please? I need your advice on monograms. My last name is hyphenated but I also have a middle name I adore. As a wedding gift a dear friend gave me gorgous monogramed stationery using the initials of my first, middle, and married last name (not in that order of course). It is now time for me to reorder and wondered if it would be proper to use the initial of my madien last name? I like it both ways, but fear that if I change my stationery now, people may think that I am no longer married. Sorry for the length of this comment.
