Roasting Marshmallows and Caroling through the Snow

Whether you are just staying at home in front of the cozy fire with family and friends, or out caroling through the snow, keep the season festive with this snowman theme. If you would like to go out caroling, invite guests you think would like to participate and choose songs that most people know. Print out sheets with the words to each song; i.e., Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, Silent Night, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas, etc. Have fun! It's a very Southern thing to do during the holidays.

If you receive carolers at your door, be sure to remember your manners and offer them some hot chocolate in a festive to-go cup along with the all-time Southern favorite--Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Roasting Marshmallows and Caroling through the Snow...

It's a Southern thing, y'all!

There will be no Caroling through the Snow for me this year...it's 75 degrees outside!...Ho, ho, ho!

This is so festive, and right up my alley. :-) We start with the dinners here today. And girl it is -2 here today. Snow is on the ground and the driveway looks like a skating rink. So..I would gladly share some of this with you to make it feel a bit more like Christmas your way.
From our home to yours,
Happy Holidays!!

So glad you talked about this! I remember doing this when I was a little girl. It was something that I looked forward to so much!!! We had these cute little beautifully decorated booklets that contained the carols! The neighbors would open their door and listen to us. . . Oh my - where have those days gone??
Thanks for this post!! :-)

Caroling is such a fun tradition and one that seems to be fast fading in my area anyway. No caroling for sure here with snow on the ground and temps right at zero. The bad news is they will be falling from there. :(
Fun theme, Miss Janice.

Evening, Dear One! Oh, I haven't had any carolers come to our home in years! Wouldn't this be nice to be greeted by you and the donuts and hot chocolate! Lovely!
Be a sweetie and have a blessed Merry Christmas, my friend,
shelia ;)

We all know donuts are best when they are fresh. Does that mean if I have no carolers on a given evening that "I" have to eat all the donuts and drink all the hot chocolate? :-)

What a lovely idea of the marsmellow! I love the donuts! I live way out in the country, but we do get carolers! I will go stock up on chocolate, marshmellows, and maybe a few donuts, or gingerbread cookies! They are talking of snow again, I got to go to Cracker Barrell and add to the collection my brother and his wife gave me. Thank you so much for sharing! Merry Christmas.

Happy Holidays Miss Janice! Lucky carollers to be greeted with such a pretty display; the krispies look very tempting!!! Enjoy the warmth; it was 12 degrees here so hot choc would be very welcome but that would be to make me stop singing!!!lol Enjoy - Sincerely, Jeannette

This brought back memories, I use to carol when I was little. I haven't seen a caroler in years around here. Neat memories
