Sweet Southern Prep in Lilly

I hope all y'all had a fab holiday weekend! I sure did--our friends Mark and Jan came over from Tampa and I hated to see them leave today! Just hated it:(

But, this photo I received from Ashley at SweetSouthernPrep sure makes me smile:) Love the pretty blue and yellow Lilly dress she's wearing and her oldest little girl is always wearing Lilly. This is a photo of them before leaving for church. How precious are they both????

Miss Ashley lives in North Carolina with her husband and two precious little girls and she has a darlin' blog, SweetSouthernPrep. This week's "Lilly Photo of the Week" was sent in by Jessica at The Entertaining House. Last summer her daughter Rebecca was participating in the Lilly Jubilee contest on Facebook. She wanted to win a free Lilly dress so she set up a tea party with her dolls, animals, and 4 year old brother Alexander. Mother and daughter went into the basement together to find some old Lilly dresses Rebecca had outgrown and dressed her dolls and animals appropriately for the affair. Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm certainly thankful that I'm feeling better and appreciate all the get well comments and e-mails. Now it's time to bring on Christmas...but first, please take a look at my "Lilly Photo of the Week."

This snapshot was sent in by The Impoverished Preppy. She is a Prep School English teacher and mama to three children. IP was born and raised in Kentucky, but now lives waaaaaaay up North with her husband in New England. Here's her precious little "Miss E" wearing her favorite Lilly Elefrance shift. The photo is of her rescued little dog from a local humane group, wearing a rescued Lilly bandana Martha found at a thrift store." His name is Spunky and he was placed in the humane society because he had to go into a nursing home--Lord have mercy Martha, I didn't know there was such a place! Spunky has a brother Martha was able to get from another rescue organization--someone had abandoned that doggy at a rest stop in South Carolina.

Y'all, I am totally coveting one of these to scoot around Tradition. Her sister snapped this photo while Kate was descending a trail in Santorini, Greece. (The trail is over 600 steps and nearly 900 feet from top to bottom). It was too windy to take the cable car down, so she braved the donkey-filled trail in Lilly and flip flops!
