Merci Beaucoup Suburban Princess!

I have a super-busy day and all morning I've been working on my social network pages and enjoying a little 'Dunkin Decaf' y'all! I want to say thank-you to my blogging friend Suburban Princess. She knows I love roosters and sent me a darling rooster-motif coffee set. Suburban Princess, a proper thank-you note is "in the mail" to you!

Yesterday and today I have been working on my Twitter roll, my Blog roll, and my Facebook Page. Honestly y'all, there is way too much information out there coming into my little brain! (Too much going out from moi, as well!) So, I have deleted my own Facebook Fan Page, I'm thinking about stopping my blogposts from feeding onto my Facebook page, I'm deleting people I'm following on Twitter who don't tweet back or just want to sell me something, I'm unfollowing bloggers who don't blog anymore, et cetera.

Now, in the process, I may have deleted YOU--Some I deleted intentionally for the reasons stated above and some by mistake. This is not personal! If you are still blogging/tweeting and if you want to remain in these social networks and communicate with me, please let me know!!! If you don't ever communicate with me, then how do I know???

I hope y'all's day is wonderful! Thank you for stopping by to visit.

Miss Janice, You do so much for so many of us online friends it is perfectly understandable that you might need to edit a bit.

Just please keep blogging. I cherish all of your posts and have learned so much from you.

I want to boast for a moment and say that my dear little sweetie graduated from preschool today and I couldnt have been more proud of her. She sat in the front row like a little lady with her legs crossed at the ankles and hands folded in her lap. I was such a proud mama.

I still want to send her to one of your classes next time we are in South Florida. So please keep posting that information.

Miss Janice,
Love your sweet lil' happy! You can never have too many roosters.:)
I totally understand about the need to de-clutter your electronic life. I don't tweet or facebook. I only have two hands.LOL!

Isn't the blogging community terrific? So thoughtful of Surburban Princess; although I am not surprised. I do agree with you re the electronic editing - less is more!

What a wonderful set from your blogging friend. I was so taken with you last giveaway that I went to Amazon and ordered two of the books "New Manners" and "Taste" along with "How to dress for the rest of your life" -- goodness, I may not even recognize myself here soon.

That is adorable! I love cows probably as much as you love roosters!

oh hello! I just googled "Southern Party Etiquette" and found you. Thank goodness.
First, I shall promptly follow this blog so that I can keep up with you and find you easily.
Second, I must inquire as to books (?) I live in Virginia and so I do not think attending a class is likely.
Third, my husband is interested in hiring a new Sales Manager and he has wanted this particular person for some time. This man and his wife have been invited to the area, to consider the job and perhaps to consider relocating. My task is to host a cocktail party so that we might introduce them to some other people in the area and hopefully encourgage them to move.
I am not from Virginia and I suddenly wondered - does it matter what time I host this party? I am thinking a gathering with an emphasis on mingling and getting to know people and general 'catching up' and so not a dinner as I want the guests to move around.
So really, the question just is, does it matter what time? Is 7:30 okay or does that imply dinner?
Thank you ever so much,
CailinMarie

What a sweet gift Miss Janice, so you, and so very deserved! I totally understand the need to edit, and taking down your FB page is understandable too. Doesn't it seem like overnight so many blogs had their own FB page?

Hope your week is going well, thinking of you and Jan - hope she is in good spirits!! She is lucky to have such a great friend in you! xox

Hi Miss Janice, That is a sweet gift and we all know you love your roosters! I know what you mean about networking!!! Too much to keep up with and too little time! BUT please keep blogging!!!!! I'm just now trying to get back into the swing of blogging...I just hope I don't disappoint everyone and myself! Nancy

I've been doing online Spring Cleaning, too....It can get out of hand, can't it?

If you need any input from VA, 7:30 pm implies a cocktail buffet (heavy hors d'oeuvres that can sub for dinner). 6:30 pm lets you do pre-dinner "light hors d'oeuvres." Have fun!

Don't delete me from your blog list. I have been out-of-loop lately as far as blogging. My grandmother passed away and then I had surgery....started working again and etc. Gotta get back into the mood. Thanks!

What an adorable little coffee set! TRES BIEN!
I love social networking...but like you, sometimes find it all a bit overwhelming. I blog, do facebook, gmail and my work email. I'm on twitter, but never touch it.
Hang in there! hugs, Cheryl

Dear Cailin Marie,
The Classic Preppy answered your question for me...7:30 p.m. is a bit late for cocktails only, 6:30 p.m. is better!

Those are adorable rooster mugs. Very thoughtful of Suburban Princess. I like the green checkered napkin you used with the tray. It makes everything feel so homey. I've never tried the Dunkin Donuts coffee before. Looks yummy.

I love your gift. Those mugs look like Emerson Creek Pottery and I'm wondering if they are. What a nice surprise for you. The coffee looks just the way I like it--creamy!

Best,
Bonnie

Miss Janice: I'm so embarrassed. I checked to see if you had deleted me as a "follower" and I had never signed up--or, maybe I did and I was deleted. If so, I know it was quite by accident. I really try and visit my favorite blogs (and comment on them) at least twice a week. I just love to sit down with my morning coffee and catch up with y'all. It just seems the proper thing to do as a start to my day.

Best,
Bonnie

I don't facebook or twitter. So blogging doesn't get me down. Etiquette question, Mothers-of-the-bride/groom are not supposed to throw showers for their daughters/sons, correct? But, boy am I seeing a lot of that going on.

Lori,
Absolutely not!:)
