Lunch at Neiman Marcus...an obviously "Prissy Day"!

Me dressed in Lilly, a fancy mall, my favorite department store, lunch at my favorite department store...a very Prissy Day, yes ma'am!

Today I had so much fun...lunch at one of my favorite places--Neiman Marcus. But it was even more special because I dined with a friend from waaay back...over 25 years ago. Gloria and I met when we both worked on the S.S. Norway--back in the day when people actually dressed up for dinner on a cruise ship! Today we had so much fun reminiscing about our ship days and Gloria actually brought along some photos of us...when we were young:)

"Here's What I Wore"...
I was going to get "all decked out," but with the rainy weather we've been having, I decided to go casual. I wore this cute little Lilly skirt--Sweet Blue Crabby Pattern, with the scalloped hemline...just love this skirt. The tee shirt is from Target or somewhere else, I can't remember. I wore a light blue cotton Lilly cardigan sweater, buttoned up. So Lilly...so summertime!
Closeup of the fabric pattern...

I accessorized the outfit with my pearl necklace and matching pearl stud earrings. My typical ponytail was adorned with a light blue ribbon. My shoes--blue-thongs, Flapper Scuba w/Havana, by Lilly--I bought these in Palm Desert, California about six years ago. I wore my Oyster Perpetual Rolex, my Cartier roll ring wedding band, and my "Return to Tiffany" silver bracelet. My nail polish was Palm Tree, by Christian Dior, and lipstick--Laser Pink, by Chanel. Fragrance of choice...Lilly Wink! Oh, my pocketbook...one of my favorites for the summer...it's by Billie Ross of the Palm Beaches.
I love this little summer pocketbook...
There's the Lilly Pulitzer store...

What a wonderful day! I have always loved dining at Neiman Marcus and lunch today at The Mariposa Restaurant was just beyond delightful. It's a great spot for "Ladies Who Lunch"! I simply must award this fine restaurant with my "Five Silver Spoons Award"!

She's a Real Life Southern Lady

May I introduce to you Miss Nancy, over at Southern Lady ~ Nancy. Nancy is a real life Southern lady; she loves the Lord, she loves her family, and she loves her home. That's Miss Nancy in the first photo with her husband. Those are her handsome sons in the photo above.

Well, in addition to her wonderful blog, Miss Nancy has an Etsy Shop and she sells darling tassels...I 'm so excited! The other day I received my brand new darling rooster tassel...isn't it cute? It's just perfect to hang here at "The Roost." Thank you so much Miss Nancy!

Look at my new rooster...I asked Nancy to add my favorite ribbon--black & white gingham. Now y'all, I name everything, so I've decided to name this girl "Miss Nancy."

Here are some of the other tassels she has made...
A beautiful flower tassel...Hmmm, maybe for my bedroom.

This is one of her pear tassels...This one is my second favorite.

Ooh, I know someone (Miss Melissa) who bought one of these gorgeous fleur de lis tassels...
Check out this stinkin' cute birdhouse tassel...

This would make a great Christmas gift--Santa on a tassel!

That's not all she makes...look at her and her handsome hubby in the beautiful frame she embellished with ribbon and a jewel...
I just love to visit with Nancy, she has the most beautiful home...

Her front porch...Miss Janice loves a covered porch with wicker rockers!

Beautifully decorated front entrance...such a warm welcome for her guests!

How cute is this wreath with the dotted initial...

I just love this basket and arrangement...
Let's go inside and take a peek...
Awesome kitchen...I love the wall color, the cabinets, the countertops, the lamp chain covers, and all the decor.

Simple dish towels...love the colors and the layering Miss Nancy!

How darling is the little desk vignette...Look at the tassel, love that rooster, the wall treament, the damask file folders, the inititals, and the polka dot frame. Perfect, just perfect!

Look at the dining table, obviously ready for a special event...what a gorgeous chandelier!
Ahem...can you believe her master bedroom...right out of a magazine! She has a beautiful color combination in her master bath!

She has so much style...a beautiful chandelier, adorned with crystal beading and chic cheetah print shades.
Ooh, look at this autumn vignette...why didn't I think of tying my favorite ribbon onto my pumpkins? I definitely will copy this next year!

Cute tablescape...just dang cute!...Next year y'all!

It must be so nice to walk into a kitchen and know that the lady of the house has it all under control...her Menu board..."Here's what y'all are having"!
And she bakes, also! Good heavens, that cake looks delish!

Look at this...a black and white toile pot! Now Miss Nancy, I likedta died when I saw this toile pot! As soon as I finish this post I'm gonna google "toile pots & pans." I just have to have this...just have to!

She even loves Kitty Bartholomew...oooh, so does Miss Janice!

Look at this bunny in a vignette...pretty as a picture. Miss Janice loves people who love bunnies!
Miss Nancy, your blog is amazing...I get so much inspiration everytime I visit with you. Thank you for all that you do to inspire all of us! So...on that note, I think I simply must award Miss Nancy "Five Silver Spoons." Don't y'all agree? She deserves them! Congratulations Miss Nancy!

A Beautiful Tearoom in Naples, Florida

Oooh, South Florida...it's sunny and 75 degrees...and I'm having a prissy day! While strolling the shops on the posh Fifth Avenue in historic downtown Naples, Florida, I discovered Bramble's English Tearoom.

Along with offering a Light Tea, Cream Tea, Full Afternoon Tea, and Royal Tea, Bramble's also offers an extensive lunch menu with British favorites like shepherd's pie, and salads, sandwiches, and quiche.

How darling are these little teapot salt and pepper shakers!?
Our server Jane was very gracious and professional and had the most lovely British accent! I enjoyed a chicken caesar salad and the most wonderful tea--Blue Lady Black Tea (infused with coconut and mango).

Look at this lovely teapot...so very British!

My guest enjoyed the crab artichoke quiche and the pumpkin tea.

Have you ever seen a cuter teapot!

I am giving this authentic British tearoom "Miss Janice's Five Silver Spoons Award" for the lovely ambiance, great food and tea, and excellent hospitality!

FIVE SILVER SPOONS! for Bramble's Tearoom in Naples, Florida.

After lunch and tea, I browsed through the tearoom's quaint gift shop and purchased a must-have rooster teapot!

When I returned home, I wondered what type of dishes I might use with this cute little teapot...Then I remembered the precious black and while toile snack plates my best friend Teresa Jane gave me for Christmas. See that little rooster? These are so cute!

How cute is this with my new teapot?...Perfect for some Peach Brandy tea I purchased at the tearoom and some coconut macaroons...yum yum!

If y'all are ever shopping on the swanky Fifth Avenue in Naples, stop in for a wonderful and relaxing afternoon tea or lunch at Bramble's. They are located at 340 Fifth Avenue, Naples, Florida.

I thank y'all for stopping by today!
