At Home in Georgia

Some of you have asked for photos of the new home in Georgia.  Well, it's my same old stuff in another place.  I did leave the flamingos behind in Florida and now we're back to black on the porch...at The Roost!

Since yesterday was the start of hunting season, I set a hunt-theme tablescape for supper.  It's the same dining room set, with a Ballard's chandelier and shades.

The hunt theme plates are by C. E. Corey and I found them at Kevin's.

I decided against using my deer head as a centerpiece and went with antlers.

Of course, I wore my monogrammed camo pony cap and carried my monogrammed antler tumbler to the gym earlier in the day.

I hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday.  I'm fixing dinner for the family and then hitting the sofa to watch the Miss America pre show and finals!

THE DINING ROOM AT THE ROOST

I'm taking a coffee break from Christmas decorating...Several of my readers have asked to see photos of my dining room. I thought I'd let y'all take a peek at how it looks for Autumn.

My dining room here at "The Roost" is not as formal as a my dining room in my Mississippi home. It's a bit small, but does provide a space for dinners and luncheons away from the kitchen area. Come on in...

The table is set with an Autumn tablescape. All the furniture pieces in this room were purchased at Ethan Allen...the 'Maison' collection.

The china cabinet and buffet are the 'Rustique' finish and holds all my Lenox 'Eternal' china and other special pieces...

The sideboard is the 'Gardenia' finish

An Autumn tablescape...
The chandelier is from Ballard Designs. The fabric of the custom valance is 'Pastoral Sage' {a toile from Ethan Allen}

This is the 'Bombe Secretary' desk...
I usually keep it open...

It's filled with some of fave books...some are about Princess Grace, some Danielle Steele books, and some of my hardback books about the royal family of England!

This is where I sometimes photo my "Friendship Gifts" and also were I serve some of my "Signature Beverages."

Autumn floral arrangements are an both sides of the china cabinet...

A simple vignette on the sideboard...

The buffet lamps...

The lamp shades are from Ballard Designs and I received the harlquin tassels as a gift from my BFF Teresa Jane last Christmas...

One of the 'Avignon' arm chairs...the fabric covering is 'Pastoral Sage' {from Ethan Allen}
One of the side chairs...the fabric is 'Pittman Green' {from Ethan Allen}

Y'all know I can't stand unsightly cords...I covered all the visible cords in this room with sage gingham check covers from Ballard Designs...

The iron base of the dining table...
That's the tour of the dining room y'all! Now, I'm off to the gym, then BACK to Christmas decorating. I know I've been talking about decorating for Christmas for weeks...and, it's not going to be ALL THAT:) Well, y'all know it takes a long time to do stuff!
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

FALL-IN' UP THE TV ROOM

Call it a "TV room," "Keeping Room," or whatever...this the place where we watch TV most of the time. Of course, the TV is hidden behind the doors of the armoire...with a few Autumn decos on the top. This is a great location for the TV...right in my 'line of sight' from the kitchen sink--where I spend way too much time! That's the urn I bought at Pottery Barn a few weeks ago and of course, a rooster is sharing the area with a black birdcage and some pumpkins.
Here's my 'Petite Iron Coffee Table' from the Maison Collection, by Ethan Allen. The area rug is the 'Colette Plaid' pattern, by Ethan Allen. Miss Paula Deen's new book "Savannah Style" takes the top spot on the coffee table along with one of my favorite recent publications "Country French." A French-wire basket holds an Autumn-scented candle and some spiced pumpkins & pinecones...
One corner of the room...Roosters and painted tole trays and tabletop.
Looking into the corner of the room...the 'Avignon Arm Chair' by Ethan Allen, is covered in my beloved toile...'Sweet Pastimes Spice Toile, by Waverly. The panels are the 'Cheerful Check Spice' pattern, also by Waverly.

Here is my fav bunny...All I do is adorn him with a seasonal ribbon and he's ready to pose...Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall! The tole painted table topper was purchased at World's Away in Memphis, Tennessee.
A few of my tole painted trays...

Husband's beloved recliner...the 'Barrister Recliner' from Ethan Allen. I don't know about y'all, but who has the time to sit in a recliner? I know I don't!!!

I'll be back later to show you more of the TV Room at "The Roost." It's a small area, but just like Miss Janice likes it...very cozy!!!
