I have a little Christmas cheer in the corner, my Teatime Tree...
Pearl garland and some teabags...
Petite green toile teapot...
Petite green toile teacups and saucers...
If you are entertaining houseguests during the Christmas season, you will want to read this great book "A Warm Welcome," by Amy Elliott.
This is a wonderful book about learning to be a gracious hostess to friends and family. Inside, you will learn:
~how to prepare your house for guests
~fun activities to entertain family and friends
~ideas for thoughtful and welcoming gifts
~welcoming menus
I like to give my guests a little "gift," something to remember their visit....one of my favorites is the book "The Gentle Art of Hospitality, by Alda Ellis. This book contains wonderful advice, whether you are having a few friends over for tea or throwing an elaborate party. Wrap it up with a pretty satin ribbbon and voila...great gift for your guest!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today!

Oh, Miss Janice...How lovely! I am sure your guests feel so welcome in such wonderful quarters! I love the idea of your teatime tree...so cute! THe furniture is gorgeous, too. You are a fabulous hostess! I hope you are enjoying your weekend...hugs...Debbie
It certainly looks inviting and ready for company.
Thanks for passing along the titles of both books. I'll have to get a copy of both.
I love the headboard and comforter set. The tree is such a cute addition to the room.
I love the teatime tree!
That room looks so welcoming. I love the teatime tree. Thank you for the suggestion of the books.
Is that the book I got when I was there? I don't remember getting a book. Why didn't I get a book? Do I come too much? I think all I got was a mint. hahahaha. Love you girlie girl.
Love your bed and bedding. So wish I had time to order the book. We have the whole family coming next weekend for an early Christmas celebration so I am in the middle of getting their rooms ready. Love the idea of a gift on the bed. I have a pretty dress for my four girls, monogramed shirts and ties to match the girls dresses for the gentlemen, and monogrammed pajamas for my grandsons and Lanz nighties for the granddaughters.
Saturday night we are going to try and get a picture of the whole gang dressed up. They have been
asked to dress in their Sunday best just in case the outfits don't fit.
It has been said that I am a bit of a control freak but I say no, just a good hostess, haha. So glad to be able to now say that Miss Janice approves;)
Hugs,
Sue
Teresa Jane,
If J.D. will bring you down here or Ken will go get you...I'll come up with a real special gift for you:) I'm thinking rooster...fleur de lis....harlequin...black and white toile....hmmmmmm!
Love the idea of a tea tree! At first, I thought it was sitting in a teapot. Cracker Barrel has some nice teacup ornaments this year, in case you need any more! LOL!Love any book by Alda Ellis, but haven't yet read that one. Hope you're having a fun weekend!
A whole new meaning to Tea Tree! I absolutely love it! I have a friend who adores her tea. What a lovely gift something like this would be for her!
Lovely Lovely Lovely
I love the bed and as my Grandmother would say, I love the Bed Clothes! lol Do you remember that saying? Is Ripley where all the flea markets are that I hear so much about? I love the Tea Time tree, and adore the white tray and silver teapot! I never got to clean mine. Looks like yours is so shiny! Wish I was coming to stay! We had hoped to find a Vintage camper by now and in January take a trip all through Florida to see friends. I wanted to spend a month there to recover. After living/working in a motor home for five years I just want something small and cute I can fix up and add a slide out too. But not found camper or truck to pull it. Way things looks Doc not letting me go traveling for a while. I have sneaked off shopping twice. Had to get security once, to find hubby, he keeps forgetting I can't be left alone when I am out. I still weak. lol I did stop at Pier One after some begging, the second week after surgery, for they had peppermint dishes, but I did not like the green in it to go with the wonderful peppermint dishes you so graciously shared with me where to buy last year. I did buy 12 napkins and an apron to go with the gingerbread theme. I found some gingerbread men and girls bowls this week and bought them. They had small gingerbread men platters, at the moment I couldn't think how to use them and passed them up. Now I wish I'd got at least three! lol Hubby may not let me out, for he left me again and I was about the hit the floor. lol I got home last year without one of my peppermint dinner plates I paid for. But I couldn't get anyone to go back to Jackson to pick it up. Here to hoping I will find one dinner plate someday! Oh, come see what Miss Debbie at RoseBriar sent me. I am so glad you introduced us through the internet!

I can be there by Monday afternoon!!! Everything looks fabulous as usual.
I imagine that visiting you is better than any vakay! You as a hostess would be a dream holiday!
What a beautiful bed! I love the tea themed Christmas tree! Gorgeous!
Miss Janice, Love the antique bed and bed linens! The tea tree is so cute- what a wonderful idea to use teabags! Whenever I have guests, I give them "the treatment." The treatment includes fluffy white bath towel, and hand towel, washcloth, aloe infused footies or new slippers or their favorite bath & body lotion. I also leave out samples of soaps, q-tips, toothbrushes, anything they may have forgotten...they don't need to ask, it is there for the taking. And, I leave reading material such as our city magazine, Country Living or some such wonderful reading. ahhhhh!
I would love to stay in YOUR guest room! :)
Holiday hugs to you,
