My friend Joy gave me this Lilly canvas print in the center. Isn't it the cutest? I framed some Lilly shift notecards and added them to create a cute Lilly grouping in my Lilly-fied office...{Maybe I'll add a topper later!}
Y'all, these Lilly canvas prints are just too cute!
My friend Teresa Jane gave me this Lilly "Chin Chin" pillow hanger...love this! I'll probably start closing my post with..."Chin Chin, Miss Janice!"
The rooster obsession continues...I can't stop! Teresa Jane gave me these darling oven mitts in the La Petite Ferme Toile Spice pattern, by Waverly. I am seriously in love with this pattern! Y'all are going to see a little more of this fabric print showing up in my breakfast room. Obsessed.
Toile and roosters...Love.
Look at this little tassel Teresa Jane gave moi...it's a sage color harlequin design.
These are little paper plate holders that I got from Teresa Jane. I got this small one and a larger one. Love the little Eiffel Tower plates and of course I had to gingham it up! These will be great to use throughout the year...'cuz y'all know Miss Janice uses paper plates!
Just my style!
Thank-You Note Etiquette
To be perfectly proper, thank-you notes should be written on 'monogrammed notes' or 'correspondence cards.' Please do not e-mail your thank-you note--that is an etiquette faux pas. Failure to write a thank-you note is one of the biggest etiquette faux pas you can commit and it will be remembered!
A very proper thank-you note--my 'Monogrammed Note'...

My 'Correspondence Cards' are also appropriate for a thank-you note...
In the business world especially, writing a thank-you note sets you apart from the crowd. This is my Etiquette with Miss Janice thank-you note...{with the Southern magnolia theme, which carries out my brand}
Now, I normally do not use a thank-you note that says "Thank You" on the front. But, a few years ago, I found these darling red toile cards at Hobby Lobby. I use these to send to family members...Mama, J.D., etc.
Remember, you will never go wrong sending a thank-you note!
Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

You got some really lovely presents! I used to have that La Petite Ferme in my kitchen. The walls were papered with it and I had valances made from the fabric. I still have a lot of the fabric left. It really is cute and the yellow with the red rooster is my favorite colorway.

Beautiful gifts! I wrote all of my thank you notes today to mail off tomorrow!
How Lovely! I will be going to look for thank you cards tomorrow. My grandfather is always impressed that I am his only grandchild that sends thank you notes!
What lovely gifts. I believe thank you notes should be sent for gifts, especially if the gift is not given face to face. That way not only is there a thank you, but an acknowledgement that the gift was actually received.
Y'all, I've gotten several e-mails tonight asking about where to buy the paper plate holders. These came from Dianne Wood at www.TheSugarDiva.com. She carries the small and large size paper plate holders and also the napkin holders...too cute! Dianne has the cutest website--you have to take a look. Like Miss Janice, she's also a graduate of The Protocol School of Washington! Check her out:)

I am in love with your Eiffel Tower plates!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
I write so many thank you notes and am known for being a bit of a princes *ahem* a friend gave me the most adorable note cards with 'The Princess Thanks You' on the front! I love them!
Cute gifts! Yes, I also LOOOOOVE that toile fabric. I have that print on a valance in my living room and had it in my kitchen too. It will be back in there again when I want a change, which is often. Can't wait to see how you use it in your home!
You got some really cute things! Thank you notes are on my "to do" list for this week.
What wonderful gifts you have -- I love anything toile. I always do two things on New Year's Day -- plant paperwhites and write my Thank You's. They both start my New Year in a good way.
What delightful gifts you received! I think it is quite precious how you framed some Lilly shifts to add to the canvas print. I tend to frame beautiful note cards for "art" work as well.
May I ask where you ordered your "monogrammed note" and your "business note" from? I am in desperate need of new monogrammed notes for myself and my daughter, but I also love your business one with the Southern Magnolia on it. My favorite flower.
I hope you had a blessed Christmas and that you will also have a blessed New Year!
BeaufortBelle,
I sent the information you requested to you:)

I completely agree Miss Janice and have already mailed mine out. Your cards are gorgeous!
LOVE all of your beautiful gifts from the lovely Teresa Jane.
~WOW! She really has exquisite taste. So pretty!
She came by my blog yesterday and introduced herself. She is very kind. Please tell her thank you from me as I could not see how to get in touch with her. I answered her question about our countertops on my own post.
Happy New year! ~Melissa :)
Do you mind telling me where Teresa Jane bought your amazing tassel?
It's so beautiful! I would love to have one for my new console table in our dinette.
Oh I always send a thank you note. I am finishing them up right now.
Cynthia
P.S. I hope you had a Merry Christmas, you did receive some lovely gifts.
Great reminder on writing thank you notes. I'm always surprised at how many people do not write thank you notes.
Thank you for your sweet comment concerning my Grandpa. It's been a tough Christmas but we're hanging in there.
Hi Miss Janice,
Good reminder about thank you cards. I cannot believe people are doing the email thank you thing, so impersonal.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Your new header is very pretty. Your gifts are wonderful and I love the added touch of the gingham on the plate holders!
Valerie
Oh Teresa Jane and a FaBuLoUs frind!

I have a LoVeLy pink card with a girl on it with her hand out with a ring.....I LoVe sending out that card as a THANK YOU!
So, THANK YOU for the tips...
Have a Super Great 2010!
Miss Janice,
I absolutely adore your blog. And your Magnolia stationary is beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Wishing you a fabulous 2010.
Gigi
Miss Janice, Thank you for this reminder. I rushed my thank you's out the door (thanks to your help) and feel much better about it all. It does seem like in all the flurry of wrapping paper it's almost impossible to say thank you properly, which is why a card is so important. (I didnt know not to send a "thank you" card so that was good to learn!)
Again I'm honored to have you visit my blog - your kind words about my Christmas prayer were encouraging. Happy New Year!
Thank you THANK YOU for posting this. I will never understand why people think it is ok to NOT send a thank you note. I teach my children that if some takes the time to think of you then you can thank them properly!!
I love this blog!! I found you through Social climbers---and 2 preppy girls!!
