A Christmas Tree and Tablescape in the Dining Room

My dining table is set for Christmas Dinner...take a peek!
Love the sweet cherub centerpiece...embellished with Southern magnolias!

Here's a closeup of the placesetting...

The china is the "Eternal" pattern, by Lenox. I used a gold damask tablecloth and napkins and cute little gold tone teapot-motif napkin rings...

The crystal is the "Alaina" pattern by Waterford...

Mama gave me this gold tone flatware years ago...

Sweet little cherub place card holders and gold edge ivory place cards...

This is my Christmas tree in the dining room...{this room is another work in progress!}

This tree is decorated with cherubs, crosses, and toile--from top to bottom...

Green toile fabric around the base of the tree...

Green toile ornaments...

Gold tone trumpets...

Pretty little cherubs...

Crosses...

Gifts wrapped in bags to coordinate with the theme...

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Merry Christmas y'all!

Merry Christmas! Miss Janice everything is beautiful as always. It is so funny to see so many things in your home that we have in our home. I have seen table clothes, sheets (your RL on your guest bed), Merry Christmas Y'all plate, etc. Obviously, we have VERY similar taste. Your friendship gifts remind me of my mother. She has done the exact same thing my entire life. In fact she often scolds me for not keeping them at the door as well. She calls them "thanks for dropping by Y'all" gifts. I have promised her that I will make it my New Year's resolution. Now that I see others do it as well, and it isn't just my mother, I REALLY have to get going on it! She has a motto "No one ever leaves empty handed". I like that idea! I have so enjoyed seeing what you are up to. Thank you for sharing so much of your home and life with those of us in blog land! Merry Christmas!

Everything is lovely.

That toile is the same print as what I have picked out for my powder room wallpaper.

Merry Christmas Miss Janice! How lovely your tablescape is. I especially love those little teapot napkin rings...of course I would! :) Your tree and the theme of it is gorgeous! I love the green/white toile. The angels and crosses look adorable on it. How serene to sit in the dining room and gaze upon it. Hope to visit you more often in 2010. 2009 got way out of hand it seems...and my blogging has had to take a back seat to my work and family much the past six months. :( May you and your family have a blessed Christmas! ~CC Catherine

Your tablescape is beautiful in it's gold finery. The cherub theme is so sweet, right down to your napkin rings.
Love the toile on your tree!

Oh Miss Janice -- Your halls are so elegantly decked for Christmas! I do love every little corner you've shown us. This is lovely and that Cherub Angel seems to be soaring across your table and the tree is just wonderful! I hope that you have a most Merry Christmas and you enjoy all the blessings of this season.

Miss Janice this is very beautiful. Especially the magnolias.

It reminds me that I once saw a wedding with a similar theme (burgundy, gold and cream) with many cherubs all in gold. It was a probably one of the most lovely weddings I have ever seen.

Thank you for your kind comment on my blog - It was an honor to have you visit.
