Baked the cookies using the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix...
Added purple and green sprinkles on top...
After Fat Tuesday, I can bake some more and add pink & green sprinkles for Spring...
I wrapped them in a cello bag and tied 'em up with purple, green, and gold ribbon. The cookies are a big hit and cute too...
Ready to go!
I sure do wish that I could be in New Orleans right now, nibblin' on a beignet and sippin' a cup of cafe au lait at Cafe Du Monde. Since that's not gonna happen, I'm busy planning my own Mardi Gras fun...a Fat Tuesday Feast Dinner for next Tuesday night!

Those look simple enough and yummy, too. Great idea for your friendship gifts.
Glad you're back!
Your header is TOO perfect!!! I have that same Lilly shift! Ah it's so so so cute!
Love your new look. So cute! I have the same cookie cutter and sprinkles in every color of the rainbow so I may have to give this one a try. Love the idea. Have a great day. So glad your back and have missed the friendship gift ideas :-)
Hi Miss Janice! The most darling little cookies! I've never seen a fleur de lis cookie cutter before! Now down here on our little island, Mardi Gras is a big thang!! Yep, a big thang! Thirteen years ago our daughter was a dutchess for the bestest crew and it was a big deal. All of the dutchesses were presented at our old opera house in their gorgeous gowns and all were required to do the Texas dip - tiny arms are held out at her sides, she descends slowly into her curtsy, then leans forward over her extended leg, and lowers her head until her brow is close to the floor. We just go to the parades now!! :)
I love your cute new header! Looks just like you in your sweet little dress and there's that little precious fuzzy face!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
They look LOVELY!!!! What a wonderful gift to receive. Glad you are back blogging.
What a great idea, I love the cookie cutter! There is a kitchen shop here in DC that I love that has the best cookie cutters. They don't have a huge amount of them, but my favorites are the ones in the shape of the 50 states, as well as DC and some buildings in DC, like the Capitol and the Washington Monument!
I love the design of the cookies. And the purple and green so put me to mind of a King Cake. They are definitely Mardi Gras colors. Bet they tasted delicious too. Bon Appetit!!
