Now y'all, ever since I went to see the movie 'It's Complicated,' I am craving chocolate croissants all the time. I confess that I didn't bake these beauties, I bought them at The Fresh Market Grocers. They are ridiculously good! {If you saw the movie, didn't you just love that scene with Meryl Streep and Steve Martin in her bakery...making those croissants...} By the way, I loved everything about that movie...her home, her kitchen, her bakery, that outfit she wore in the opening scene, Alec Baldwin--oh, I just loved it all!
My assistant in the kitchen here at "The Roost," I would like to introduce to you Jean Paul.
Love bunnies everywhere...

Beautiful. I thought of you when I was looking at tons of rooster decor at the Chicken Coop back home in Kentucky over the holidays. Roosters + gingham = simply fun and gorgeous!
Love it! No matter what I do my bar never look good. Hope your having a great day! xoxo
Your island is beautiful, Miss Janice. I also love all that wonderful copper, hanging from the pot rack!
Yummy girlfriend...I want to eat those right now. I love Jean Paul and need him to help me some. Everything looks so cute as usual. LOVE all those copper pots and I see you are following in you know who's footsteps with that prominent butter dish. :) Bon Jour
Miss Janice,
Your island looks really cute and homey. Jean Paul looks like quite the assistant. :)
Oh Miss Janice...I DO love a chocolate croissant. Meryl Streep made the process look easy in the movie, didn't she? Several years ago, I decided to give croissant making a try...NEVER again. Meryl had the right equipment and I most definitely did not.
Adorable as always! Thanks for sharing. I haven't seen that movie, but I will have to check it out!
I hate that empty feeling when you take all the Christmas decorations down. Love your great ideas! My mom always says a rooster in the house brings good luck!

My husband LOVES chocolate croissants! He likes to heat them in the microwave for a few seconds so the chocolate is all melty inside.

I loved that movie too! Those chocolate croissants look scrumptious... sometimes my boyfriend picks them up for us as a weekend treat, there's a bakery down the street from us that makes some great ones! xo

Oh this looks SO good. I adore your header too. :)
You must try the chocolate crossaints from Trader Joe's. You let them rise overnight, bake them in the morning..... what a way to start the day. I made them for my husband for Valentine's Day.
Oh my missy, your photos are wonderful as always. Your header - WOW! You are definitely entered for the cookie give-away. Thank you for visiting. :) xoxo
Oh Miss Janice... I am cracking up! I have been looking for an old fashioned dairy slab forever! I finally found a reproduction at Joanne Hudson and was reading the reviews .... To my surprise there was a lovely review written by a Miss Janice... Would I be wrong to assume it was you? :) I have requested this little gem for Mother's day. It looks darling on your island! :)
