Pantone announced its 2015 color of the year as Marsala. I would call this color a light shade of burgundy. I love this color because it goes well with golden yellow, taupe, black, gray and is a flattering shade to spice up a look.
I bought these Hunter boots the other day in the Damson color. Kinda Marsala?
I have this buffalo check scarf from The Gap...kinda Marsala?
The Gap also has cute skinny cords in Raisin. I have these and I love them too...Marsala-ish?
I love the J Crew cardigans and I have the "Tippi" cardigan in burgundy...dark Marsala.
Do you bangle? I love all of the bangles by Boweties and Bangles and of course I love them in garnet and gold! Bows and Arrows carries all the cute ones..again, my version of Marsala!
Of course, I have to have the matching nail polish...Essie's "Tom Boy No More" is the closest shade to coordinate with all my Garnet {Marsala} and Gold.
Y'all have a great day. It's cold and misty here in Middle Georgia...a great day to wear my new boots!

Marsala is a very pretty color! Unfortunately, it looks awful on me. :(
Hummm...It's a great color. The boots. Definitely.
I like those boots. Great color. I need to go through my closet and find what I have in similar colors. I wish Tory Burch had cordovan Revas. I would buy them today.
I was afraid when I moved to Texas I wouldn't need my Hunters anymore. But it's been cold and drizzly for the past two weeks so I've put them to good use. LOVE your 'marsalis' ones.
Miss Janice,
It seems funny to read posts on 'winter' clothes from you! I love them, because that's what we have the most of,up here. The boots are beautiful. Sadly, as was commented above, this is not one of my colors. I'll look forward to seeing how you style them in an OOTD.
Warmly, K
This sort of color looks just awful on me: weather beaten and ten years older....ugh. But shoes! Love your boots and I'd snap up a pair of Marsala Revas in a heartbeat!
Hmmm, cordovan Revas. Yes!
White, ivory, and tan are NOT my colors:)
I love them too!
My boot inventory is growing. We still need them in the South!
Winter wear is not my favorite. I still prefer my Lilly shifts!
I've seen the Revas a few years ago and passed them up. They were the quilted leather "Quinn" flats in burgundy. What was I thinking!!
