Pink Christmas in the Guest Room

Welcome to one of our guest rooms.  It's prissed up for Christmas with a few little pink trees...come on in.

This room previously was decorated with dark antique furniture that I purchased from 2 little old ladies in Memphis.  The comforter, shams, bedskirt, and window treatment were the "Charlotte' pattern by Ralph Lauren.  The room was comfy, warm, and cute...and DARK!  Since this room doesn't get much natural sun, I wanted to lighten things up a bit.  When my BF Miss Joy was down from Tybee Island on her last visit, we headed to Lowe's and picked out some new colors for the room...Yellow, Pink, and Turquoise.   {Thanks to Miss Joy's painting skills and instructions for moi, I now have the painting bug and heading into the Master suite next for some Annie Sloan redo's}.   I found the cute white wicker headboard at a thrift store and added the Lilly Pulitzer bedding.  Now it's much cuter and brighter!

I'm ready for Miss Joy's convertible to pull up outside for another visit!

Yes, I'm that predictable...I spray painted my wooden monogram pink ~

Yellow was the choice for this old corner cabinet...

Lilly gifts...

My favorite toast!  Chin Chin!

People are always asking me "Where do you store all your dinnerware?"  Ummm, "on the walls!"

Plaid and monogrammed plates...can't go wrong!
The monogrammed plate is surrounded by these 4 Lilly Pulitzer plates...birdcage and a giraffe--so stinking cute!
Birdcage and a turtle...
Birdcage and a monkey:)
Birdcage, bird, and a cat!

The window has a pink gingham roman shade, monogrammed of course!

We painted the night table pink.

I added a pink Christmas tree to the top.

This tree is adorned with pink gingham ribbon, pink and green ornaments, and various Lilly Pulitzer ornaments.

There's my baby...Mlle. Coco Chanel...Rest in peace you cute little thing!

More Lilly Pulitzer wrap!

Lilly notepad & pencil & a precious Lilly-fied coaster handmade by a thoughtful follower of my blog Mrs. K.!

Another pink tree!

I just might leave these trees up all year long...they are too sweet to take down!

This one is also adorned with pink gingham ribbon, pink and green ornaments, and Lilly Pulitzer shift ornaments.

Pink preppy elephant...

Prissy wicker guest chair.

We decided {Miss Joy's recommendation} to paint the dresser blue & I love the way it turned out!

I hung 4 of these Lilly Pulitzer plates around the the dresser and they are the perfect color!

There it is again...my monogram!

This is my "Prayer Tree"...I decorated a little pink tinsel tree with Lilly Pulitzer gift enclosure cards and tied them onto the branches with pink gingham ribbon.  Each card has the name of a person who needs my prayers!

Prayer cards...

Last, but not least is my favorite piece in the room...my dream car.  I liketa died when I found this at a local thrift store.  I truly love this little car.  On the bucket list!

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope that you have enjoyed the tour of our guest room!

My...my...my! You and Miss Joy made this guest room Lilly-riffic!!! Every little detail just makes me giddy! I am so tickled to see my little coaster on the bedside table. Only the cutest loot for ladies like Miss Janice and myself!

Beautiful Miss Janice, i have a question. I have notice people in the south have a Christmas tree in each room. Is there a reason for this? Or is it just by choice?
My sister and i where talking about it and i told her, I think it's a southern thing. ;) she wanted me to find out.

Thank you. hugs from southern California.

Dear Jennifer...
I'm not sure if it's just a Southern thing:) I love to decorate and when I lived in Palm Springs, California, I had 20+ trees inside my home! Of course, I was a Southerner displaced in Southern California:)

I LOVE this room!! I'll bet Miss Joy can't wait to come for a visit so she can stay in it. It's just so ultra feminine and Floridian. Would you please add me to your prayer tree as I am now recovering from emergency surgery? I am feeling better every day, but still have a lot of pain. Extra prayers never hurt!!

Dearest Janice. Where did you get the wooden monogram. I love it and must have one. As another's southern lady I agree monograms are essential. Nikki Lehnhardt

Nikki,
The wooden monogram is a 30" vine monogram from the League of Letters on Etsy. I painted it pink!

Can I move in?! LOVE this room! I have the little chin chin door pillow too.

I also have the Lilly quilt you have on the bed but mine keeps coming apart. Have you noticed issues with yours?
