hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity
Easter's on its way.
Here at "The Roost," I'm getting for ready for Easter...Bunnies are popping up all over the place--y'all take a look.
This sweet bunny in the foyer is passing out candy...
This bunny is bored stiff and laid out on my buffet in my breakfast room..."please, Miss Janice...paint these walls and jazz up those windows"!
This little bunny lights up my favorite cookbook...The Southern Living Cookbook.
This rabbit looks a little spooky...Good Lord, this one looks ridiculous!
This one is hob-nobbin' with some Waterford...
This rabbit is tiffed...'cuz it just blends in with those painter-white walls!
This is a proper and well behaved little bunny...staying close to Miss Janice's stationery!
This special bunny lights up my dishwashing area all the time...
Easter Gifting...
Easter is also a time to give sweet gifts of candy in pretty spring wrappings or in a Easter basket. Here's a photo of the Easter Basket I did last year for mama--the goodies before I placed them on a white serving tray, surrounded by yellow shred...
The finished gift, wrap in clear cello, tied at the top with a yellow bow, and adorned with a teacup!
This is an idea for a sweet gift for a friend...I placed a tin of Green Citron Tea, available at HarneyTea.com, inside a pink gift bag, added a pink polka dot ribbon and a gift tag I embellished with a bunny stamp and a rhinestone...
I've also been busy getting together my April "Friendship Gifts." You may visit this post to learn more about these type of gifts. Candy is the treat inside the clear cello bags and I folded cardstock in pretty spring colors and stamped the foldover sheet with a bunny to make it festive.
A little Hippity Hoppity treat...
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope that you are enjoying Spring...remember to Make it Special...Make it Southern.

Adorable!! The caged bunny is my favorite.
Of course, your decorations are perfect!!
All of your bunnies are adorable! The 2nd one with the crackled finish is lovely.
I like the treat packages with the folded cardstock, very clever. The bunny stamp and ribbon make them so special.
Just so sweet! :-)

Hi Miss Janice...How cute all of your bunny decor is...I love the bunny lamps! and who wouldn't be thrilled to receive an Easter gift basket from you! ;-) Bo
Hi, thanks for coming over and saying hello. Your bunnies are all so cute. And your gift to your mama was so precious. So sweet that you honored her in such a special way!
The basket is beautiful. I have 3 of those books but I haven't looked at them for so long. Makes me want to revisit my interest in tea. Would you have any suggestions for a mother of a bride and groom? She is the mother of both children getting married 2 months apart! I was wondering what special things I could put together for her. She us also my sister-in-law.
I can't pick a favorite from all of your bunnies. I love the care you take to make your packages look extra special. They look so nice that I wouldn't want to open them!
Oh what precious bunnies! I just love springtime. Love the bunny stamp on the treat bags as well. It really is the little things that make all the difference.
What cute little bunnies and that's no yoke. Mix up the letters in Easter to find out who your bff is.

Thank you so very much for sharing your bunnies! They are all very lovely and I especially enjoy seeing how you decorate with them. I'm nothing, if not a great imitator! LOL
I love all of your bunnies, Miss Janice! And your header is wonderful! That's my favorite cookbook, too. However, does the magazine seem to be changing to you? I used to eat up every page...now not so much. Is it just me?...Debbie
Debbie, It's not just you...Mama and I both feel the same way about the Southern Living magazine.
What lovely ideas...love the bagged candy...you've got me thinking now!
Beautiful bunnies!
Love your bunnies and the little bagged candies. The card stock with the bunny stamp and ribbon is a wonderful idea. Classy and not cluttered!

The bunnies are adorable. And just so you know I went and purchased a very proper lady-like suit for Easter. It's pale pink and satiny. Perfect for my pearls and white shoes. Hopefully I will find the perfect act to wear with it.
Hopefully, I will find the perfect 'hat' to wear, not 'act' to wear - HA!!
All the bunny foo foos looks so happy and at home with you. How adorable. Love the sweet tray you did for your mother.
Happy Twirls
LOVE your bunny lamp and the bunny that is playing with the waterford :)
PS- I sent a link to all of your January posts to one of my friends- an Aussie rower- that loves high teas and is hosting one this weekend- a sure-fire fabulous inspiration!

Darling ideas! It looks very invitingly springlike at your house!!!
Your gift basket has inspired me to make one for my Mom. I have all the things for my twin daughters' baskets. Now I need to make one for their fabulous Grammy. Your blog is fantastic!!!
Can I move it?!!! Thanks for sharing your bunnies and decorations. I am going to be doing the LIVESTRONG challenge again this summer with my family and friends. What do you think about doing a favorite yellow for LIVESTRONG fashion show this spring? LIVESTRONG is Lance Armstrong's foundation and an inspiration to me. I wear my LIVESTRONG bracelet every day. Be well!
Dear Miss Janice,
You have an absolutely wonderful blog! I can't believe I hadn't seen it before this!! Your bunnies really got me into the Easter spirit!
All your bunnies are adorable and make your home so ready for Spring.
I love the idea of your gift bags. They look so colorful and "sweet".
Miss Janice, I just love your gift ideas. I try to take a little something to the widows in my church and this gives me a wonderful idea. Your bunnies are so adorable too.
