TEAROOM IN MOUNT DORA, FLORIDA

I'm still remembering how much fun I had on my recent road trip to Mount Dora, Florida. What a cute little town! If you are ever in the Orlando area, you must drive the short distance over to Mount Dora to shop and dine! I shopped so much my wrist is still hurting. {I finally went to the Doctor and I have Tendonitus--ouch!} I'm telling y'all the truth! That's another reason I believe that every shopper needs a schlepper. I hauled heavy bags of loot from the downtown shops to the Bed & Breakfast...back and forth, many times!

Any-who...The Windsor Rose Tearoom was a must visit for Miss Janice. I called to make a reservation one week prior to my visit and was informed that "We don't take reservations, we are too busy!" Okay...hmmmmm. Well, I arrived to check out the place and was seated at a great little spot by a window. I LOVED this tearoom. The food was delish. The server was professional. The ambiance was lovely. The only thing missing was my friend Miss Kara. She is my tearoom buddy and being married to a Brit, she would have loved this place. It's definitely a British-style tearoom as apparent from the menu and decor. Memorabilla of the British Royal Family is gracefully displayed and they even sell HP Sauce, Tips Tea, and cookies. The menu is vast and offers all the proper tea foods along with lunch food.

    I wish I would have known about that place last summer when we were in Orlando. I love tea rooms and always try to go to new ones I hear about. Maybe next time!!

    Hope you are healing well from your shopping injury. I can so relate. Some genius should come up with a package schlepping business in good shopping areas don't you think?...;) I for one would sooo pay for a service like that.

    The tearoom sounds delightful. It is so much fun finding those one-of-a-kind places that you thoroughly enjoy.
    I also loved going back to your Masters Golf Tournament post. I even called my husband to the computer to see a few of your goodies.

    oh, i do hope your hand feels better soon!! i have always loved the "tea room" -- and used to go to a very special one in an old victorian home with my grandmother in Illinois, in fact, we celebrated my 17th birthday there. then there is a beautiful one in Columbia, TN, located in an old antebellum mansion on the square. My mother goes to one now where you're given a big hat and feather boa upon entrance! it's such a ladylike thing to do!

    Loved your post on the Masters' Dinner Party.... Golf is not my thing, but my extended family in Aiken, SC has tickets, and when my husband is invited, he drops everything!!!

    I never think of Orlando as having tea rooms. If we ever get down there again, I will look for it!
    I watched the Masters..We had the US Open here a few times at Shinnecock here in Southampton. After it was over they gave away the shrubs and plants..so I have a US Open Rose Bush!
    I am so glad Phil won, it was well deserved..

    I can hardly wait to have tea here now! I was planning on going the weekend of the festival but the weather got so icky. By the looks of it, that didn't stop you from shopping and getting a shopping ingury. Bless your heart. I sure hope it's better now. No reservations...

    Thanks for the info you shared with me. I'll look into that B & B next time I'm there, which might be this weekend.

    I hope you have a nice pair of walking shoes for Relay. I've done that event before, it's amazing.

    I have eaten at that Tea room. It is a fabulous place and very quaint.
    Note on your Relay- as long as one member of the team is on the track at all times you are covered. We take turns walking the track. It is a great event, have fun!

    Love the Mt. Dora Tea Room and Mt. Dora. My niece lives in Mt Dora and my sister lives in Leesburg so I know the area well.

    Shopping can cause tendanitis. I need to be more careful! Hope you are seeing some improvement.
