Whew! Another Halloween on the porch...at "The Roost!" Hundreds of youngins {and some not-so-young} paraded up onto the porch for their treats.
There were also treats for the adults...Merlot and Chardonnay!
The first person arrived before the sun went down...at 5:20 p.m. Lord have mercy!
As the sun was setting, more and more and more arrived. We have many people who come by every year...to trick or treat and also to take photos of their children by the Halloween tree.
I planned to have enough treats for 600...just in case! I think I had about 25 candies left when I turned off the porch light at 9:20 p.m.
I'm sure some of the children could have cared less about my monogrammed chevron gift tags!
This girl had the Best Costume of the Night...bridal gown and hat with a veil and painted face. She was perfection!
Tomorrow the witches will come down off the tree and it will be adorned with turkeys. That's if I can get out of bed and get it done.
Mademoiselle Coco Chanel was sure missed tonight. Y'all know she would have had a cute outfit for the evening! May she rest in peace!
Oh wow that is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour home decor inspires me, it is always so festive and beautiful.
RIP to your little darling <3

Cute decorations for sure.
ReplyDeleteHalloween here was postponed until Nov 5 because of the hurricane. Our streets are simply too dangerous right now and with no power(we are on generators) there are no street lights either.
Hope it was a happy holiday for you.
You always have the cutest decorated porch. When my husband and I were looking for a house (in michigan large porches are few and far in between) I kept saying I wanted a huge porch. Unfortunately any of the houses that had one where tragic inside and we ended up with a house that has no front- however now I can build the perfect southern porch onto the house, and will hopefully be able to make it at least half as cute as yours! xx
ReplyDeleteYou do always go all out! Love it! Curious, just how much wine do you go through? Meaning, do the adults really partake?
ReplyDeleteWe poured over a case and a half of wine--the adults love it! I use small cups & pour about 3-4 oz each.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to have my own house and decorate - your decorations are so sweet and inspiring! We tried decorating in my college residence hall, and I think the doors came out pretty well (although my residents could certainly take a few tips from you)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had so many children. Our condos didn't have any kids this year. No small children in the area I guess. Everything looked awesome. As always, it was first class!! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely come to your porch every year if I lived near you! What a great party and such fabulous decorations and treats. One of the things I'm most excited for when I buy a home is to host trick or treaters. :)
