Mama lives with my brother J.D. who takes special care of her, but as those of you who care for your elderly parents know, he needs to have some time for himself. We decided it was best to hire a lady to come in and watch over Mama. So, I feel really good about her now. She came home from the hospital this morning and is feeling very good.
I know that Mama's happy to be back in her home and be able to watch Fox News, some Lifetime Movies, and just sit on the porch and admire her gardens.
Soooooo, I'm happy to announce the winner of my 2PreppyGirls giveaway. It's Pastor Ali from Southern and Lovely. Lord have mercy, when I drew this entry, I was shocked that a "Pastor" was even following my blog! Pastor Ali is co-Pastor with her husband Drew at the Lebannon United Methodist Church in Mebane, North Carolina. I love that in her blog profile she says "I'll be writing about fashion for young clergywomen." Congratulations to you Pastor Ali! Please contact me at: Miss Janice {at} Miss Janice {dot} com and provide me with your contact information so that I can provide it to Margaret at 2PreppyGirls.

Oh goodness! I've been so wrapped up in my own little world that I didn't even notice anything about your mother. So sorry. Glad to hear that she is doing better though!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so very happy to hear that your mother's condition isn't serious. Oh my! Did she have a good laugh about it? Or was she afraid that she'd spilled family secrets for all to hear?
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear about your Mama. And thank you so much for the adorable prizes and sweet words!

OH, wonderful news about your little mama! I'm so glad this ordeal is over. I so understand as my mama is 88 and has so many reactions to meds. This same thing happened to her when she fell in my house and broke her shoulder. She was given meds for pain. I told the dr. she had reactions to them and he made me look so stupid and said she would be fine with these. Well, I gave them to her and she reacted just like your mama - seeing 'dead' people, children, animals. One little boy was riding on the blades of the ceiling fan! :) It's funny now but not when it's happening!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and now get some sleep.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Good news. I am glad your mother is alright now.
ReplyDeleteYou will feel more secure that someone is helping take care of her.
Those ladies are usually very dedicated.
What wonderful news about your mama!

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that your Mama is doing much better!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I'm behind on my blog reading and didn't read about your Mama! I'm so glad to hear she's doing better--thinking and praying for her and your family. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mama is better. Medicines can do strange and scary things to us. Will continue to keep her in my prayers. Congratulations to Pastor Ali!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your mother is out of the hospital and doing better. My mother is in her 80's and had a strong reaction to medication too. She thought the sprinkler heads in the hospital were spiders. We were very worried, like you, for a while. My father just passed away 2 weeks ago and now I'm worried about her again. But prayer does change things, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear that your Mama is improving and is now at home. I know it had to be a scary time until she stabilized. Prayers are answered!!
