What's On Your Charm Bracelet???

As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of Beth Dunn. Beth is the author of "Social Climbers", a fabulous book about the life of high fallutin' socialites! Beth has a beautiful family, countless preppy friends, and of course a fabulous social life. She also has a darlin' blog SocialClimbers123.

In her "WASP Wednesday" post last week she featured her very own charm bracelet. Miss Beth's gold charm bracelet...

Here's Miss Beth relaxing outside during a recent posh trip to Beverly Hills.
If you have not read her book "Social Climbers" get it now!!! You can find it at Amazon.

Miss Beth, while I'm certainly no high-fallutin' socialite, I also love charm bracelets!!!

Here's Miss Janice's silver charm bracelet...
~a charm from every state where I lived--Georgia, Mississippi, California, and Florida
~a charm from school--Richmond Academy
~another school charm--Westside High
~a megaphone charm--from my cheer-chicky days
~a heart charm--from husband engraved with our marriage date
~an eiffel tower charm--from Paris
~a streetcar charm--from San Francisco
~a cute running shoe charm--a gift on completion of an important race
~praying hands charm--'cuz prayer keeps me focused!

Of course, Miss Janice simply must have a gold charm bracelet as well...
~charms with my daddy's service pins
~Norwegian Cruise Line charm--from my days at NCL
~Carnival Cruise Line charm--from my days at Carnival
~my mama's first engagement ring
~a charm of the clubhouse at the Augusta National Golf Course
~a megaphone--from my cheer-chicky days
~a "Palm Springs" charm--from my California days
~a horse--love the horse tracks y'all!
~a church and a cross

My BFF Teresa Jane has the most fabulous charm bracelet ever!!! Her sweet mama Miss Ruby left it to her when she passed away. Miss Ruby collected all these charms in Europe when the family lived abroad. Here's Miss Teresa Jane's charm bracelet...
~precious little Dutch shoes
~the Vatican charm
~the Coliseum charm
~a ferris wheel charm
~a gondola charm
~a cuckoo clock charm
~a windmill and many other charms from various places
What a appropriate gift for young lady!!! She can collect charms and her family and friends can continue to add charms to the bracelet for any event throughout her life.

I'm so glad that charm bracelets are still fashionable. I think a darlin' charm bracelet is a perfect adornment for any girl to wear...at any age!

Thank you for visiting with me. So, do you have a charm bracelet? Play along and show us "What's on your Charm Bracelet"!

I love how you have have your mom's engagement ring on one, that's a great way to change it up in a very sweet, sentimental way! PS. I never knew you lived in California- I've lived there all my life! Whereabouts were you?

  5. I love your charm bracelets, and just charm bracelets in general. I collected a lot of charms while my husband and I were dating. He would give me one for every fun location we went. I'll have to share it in a post sometime.

Every charm bracelet is so special because it means something different to each person that wears it. It tells a story.

  6. I adore charm braclets! I love that you have your mother's engagement ring! We have many similary themes to our braclets. I had both a gold and a silver til my gold was recently stolen out of my car(all those years in DC, not one break-in, but a few weeks in the 'burbs - burglary!). I really need to start a new gold one. Loved this post!!!

  11. Well, hello, Miss Dahling! Oh, I love charm bracelets. I have mine from when I was little. Mine's not quite as pretty as yours! I noticed at church Sunday our pastor's wife had on a charm bracelet. I asked her about it and she said it was hers when she was little! Memories.
    Be a sweetie,

  26. Love, love your charm bracelets! I loved trying on my grandmother's charm bracelet when I was a little girl...it was full and had stories with each charm! I started them for my girls, but never had one myself...I have been thinking about starting a Pandora bracelet for myself and adding to it on special occasions! Your post is making me think I should start right away!

  29. Beautiful bracelets. I have a silver charm bracelet that has 35 different silver hearts on it-- I don't wear it too very often, but when I do someone always comments on it. I guess since this year will be my 35th anniversary - maybe next year I'll have to start adding more! Love your header - did you find the old fashioned Cracker Jacks this year? I haven't seen any here yet.

  31. Love your bracelets! I have had a traditional charm bracelet but my 14 son asked me to start a Pandora one to make it easier for him to shop for me. I had a hard time getting used to not having a jingling charm bracelet but now I like it. I only have 2 charms, but it's growing!
