Cute Valentine Loot

Happy Valentine's Day to y'all! Yesterday, I went shopping at one of my favorite malls...The Town Center Mall in Boca Raton. Fabulous mall. They have everything a shopaholic wants!

"HERE'S WHAT I WORE" Since we are experiencing a very short cold snap here in South Florida, I wore a black turtleneck with black slacks. My black ballet flats are by Cochni and my red pocketbook witht the silver double-heart handles, is by Brighton. I wore a few Brighton accessories with the heart motif...for the Valentine season. The sunglasses, necklace, earrings, and red watch are all by Brighton.
First stop...Neiman Marcus. My all-time favorite store! I browsed forever looking at some new Spring fashions...the shoes, the pocketbooks, dresses. Lord have mercy, I just love the way the store smells!!!

One of my favorite things to do ever...Lunch at Neiman Marcus! Been 'lunching' there for over 30 years.

Tradition. I'm all about tradition. Neiman Marcus has been serving the starter of Chicken Consomme and a petite biscuit served in a demitasse cup forever! I had to mind my manners and stop myself from asking for more. I truly could make a meal of this--if it was served in a large bowl and the biscuit was much larger.

The popover and strawberry butter is another longtime favorite food served in all of the upscale Neiman Marcus restaurants. Again, I love this popover and ate the whole thing! {DIET CHEAT DAY Y'ALL}

For my entree, I chose the Roasted Wild Salmon, served on a bed of mixed greens, with warm goat cheese, hearts of palm, and tomatoes. Excellent choice!
What is this? Besides a photo of my Wrist Adornment Du Jour {Brighton heart watch}, there's a BLACK linen napkin on my lap. I LOVE that upscale restaurants like Mariposa offer black linen napkins instead of white napkins to those guests who are wearing black clothing. {the white napkins shed lint all over black clothing} Yes, the service is impeccable at this restaurant and don't think for a minute that I did not notice other diners with white napkins, while I was offered a black one! Miss Janice was impressed!!!

Signing the check...with my Brighton pen--with the heart logo charm:) I am sooooo matchey-matchey!

I then headed out into the Mall...in search of cute loot! A little sugar boost was needed in the form of a Starbucks Doppio Espresso...served in a VALENTINE CUP of course!!! Hate to see the cups go tomorrow:(

With my shopping list in hand {via my Brighton binder}, off I went!!! Bloomingdale's {fab Ralph Lauren and Coach sales clerks}, Sak's {LOVED the girl at the Hermes counter}, Nordstrom {very sweet girls at the jewelry counter}, Tory Burch {Ms. Leff was an awesome sales associate}, Banana Republic, J. Crew, Cartier, Louis Vuitton...this mall has so many great stores!! Just a few snooty sales clerks thrown in here and there:) Cute loot....Happy Valentine's Day...to me!

The Tory Burch gold link necklace...with precious little charms of the signature tote and the orange Reva!!!! I liketa died when I saw it. I snapped this photo with my iPhone when I got home, so please excuse the quality of the picture...the necklace is ridiculously cute in person.

Of course, I also had to have the matching circle logo earrings...they had my name all over them. I cannot wait to wear these darling new accessories!!

I found some other goodies today as well...some new colognes, wristlets, cardis, et cetera.

Y'all know I like to match everything to everything, so of course, Merlot Hour, was a Brighton fest--the nightlight, the wine cork, and the goblet!

CHIN CHIN! I hope y'all have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Thank you for visiting with me.

  3. I remember going to lunch at another Neiman's with you. You knew the chef and when we were through with lunch he personally brought us two desserts out that were to die for. It was so good. I also remember seeing Kelsey Grammar in there eating. Miss Janice always knows where the good places to eat are. That's why I "let her" be my BFF. hee hee

  7. Going to lunch at Neiman's with my dad growing up. Just seeing the photo with the popover and consume brought back a flood of memories.

I think daddy and I need to schedule a grown up luncheon for old time's sake.

  8. Dear Miss Janice,

I was just wondering (and it might be a stupid question) how to use the napkin properly.

What do you do if you need to wipe your mouth or something, and the napkin is on your lap? Is it common to give two napkins, one to put on your lap, and one for the actual wiping? I just feel that it would weird to clean yourself with it, and then put the now dirty napkin back on your clean clothes.

    Kind regards,

    Madeleine.
