Last night I entertained an out-of-town guest. Well, by 'entertaining' I mean that I cleaned the guest bath & bedroom and served him an appetizer! I had to look cute doing it! I found this cute pink & green hostess apron in a small shop in Mt. Dora, Florida last weekend. It looked darlin' with my pink & green flamingo print capris pants... I served Chardonnay with a dip of Peach Pecan Pepper Preserves over cream cheese, along with some Graham Cracker cookies. The Peach Pecan Pepper Preserves are a product from my Taste of Gourmet line and is the Product of the Month. This jelly taste so much better than your granny's plain ole pepper jelly! What a fabulous flavor...the pecans and peaches add texture to the jelly. It's a little bit sweet and little bit hot. It's also great served over browned pork chops... Remember when you purchase the Peach Pecan Pepper Preserves during the month of April, a $1 donation will be generated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The Peach Pecan Pepper Preserves have been a long-time customer favorite of the Taste of Gourmet line. I always serve this fab jelly over cream cheese at my etiquette and entertaining seminars! The price is $8.95 for a 10-oz. jar and you can place your order at my Taste of Gourmet site HERE. Of course, my goblets {monogram decals from 2PreppyGirls}, monogrammed coasters & linen towel {monogrammed by a friend}, and appetizer plate {from Hobby Lobby} just had to coordinate with my outfit:)
Later we dined on the patio at The Town Crier Pub in Tradition...fish & chips--splurge! If you follow me on Twitter, you know I had a fun evening watching the Jersey girls from up North dancing and flippin' their hair all night! Fun night, y'all! "HERE'S WHAT I WORE..." My friend Joy gave me the pink & green flamingo print capris pants--LOVE them! I wore a white blouse and my {closed-toe} pink Lilly mules. My ponytail was adorned with a hot pink grosgrain ribbon and I wore a silver monogrammed choker necklace with the matching monogrammed ring, my 'Return to Tiffany' bracelet, and my rollring wedding band by Cartier. My iPhone cover was lime green {duh} and my fragrance of choice for the evening was 'Burberry.'
Ahem.....when can I come check in??
ReplyDeleteI need those wine glasses! Seriously, how many can we have?
I am LOL at your twitter reply to me. As soon as I read it, I opened my google reader and your post was at the top:) You got lucky cause I hit "Mark All Read" about an hr ago, yay, I didn't miss you:)
Hope your Sunday is blessed Friend-
XO
The preserves sound fabulous. Love this cocktail napkins. Where did you get the plain white tray? I saw an awesome monogrammed tray I could make on my own....first I need a white tray like the one you used. Curious, thanks!
ReplyDeletePreppy Shopaholic,
ReplyDeleteOh my! I've had the white serving for YEARS and don't remember where I found it...it is perfect for serving bright color glassware and dinnerware!
I've been so busy lately that I haven't been commenting much but I PROMISE...I haven't missed a post and am looking forward to life calming down this summer so that I can do a few things "Miss Janice style."
ReplyDeleteLove pepper jelly, so I've got to try that one. I'm excited for The Masters, too. And I need some of those wine glasses, too!
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Janice! I'm heading to the Masters this week (from Charlotte, NC) for the first time! I'm so excited just to see everything there. Any tips you can give??
ReplyDeleteI am loving the polka dots popping up everywhere this Spring. You just look adorable in those capris! And the apron is too cute for words! Sounds like your evening was fun filled for certain!

Wow! You will have a blast! Traffic in Augusta during the tournament is simply awful. Since I'm not sure where you are staying, it's hard to give you any ideas. I LOVE Sconyer's BBQ--a must for anyone visiting Augusta. It's on the South side of town. There is only one mall--the Augusta Mall {not so good imo}. Near to the Augusta National is Surrey Center and they have some cute shops there. Be sure to take lots of money to shop at the Augusta National Gift Shop--fabulous stuff!!! Have fun!

Cute!! Love all the monogramming! My husband makes a homemade spicy jelly that is delish!!
ReplyDeleteWell, hello, Miss Janice! And there you stand looking so cute! Love your pretty new little apron and it just says "Miss Janice". I'm sure your guest was blown away with your southern hospitality! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
I can't wait to wear my sandals... meantime come back and see which shoe I ultimately chose!
