November "Friendship Gift"

What to give visitors to my home during November?...hmmmmm, it was easy. My mother-in-law has a great recipe for Party Mix and it's sooo delish at this time of year! I gave out the party mix last year and will give it out again this year. Wrapped in Autumn theme cello and tied with a ribbon bow...very easy and also inexpensive!

Recipe for Mary Gibson's Party Mix:
2 cups corn chex
2 cups wheat chex
2 cups rice chex
1 - 1/2 cup nuts
2 cups broken pretzels
1/3 cup melted butter
2 tblsp. Worcestershire sauce
Garlic salt to tast

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix dry ingredients, blend melted butter and Worcestershire sauce, and pour over mixture. Stir all in a 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Add garlic salt and mix well. Bake one hour and stir every 15 minutes.

  6. Oh yes! I forgot to tell you that I loved your pie boxes so much to pack up leftovers that I ordered some to have on hand for Thanksgiving when our family will all be at our house -- It will be so nice for sending a full plate home with our Dad's for the next day! What a great idea!

  7. Homemade Chex Mix is so good! It doesn't begin to compare with the packaged mix. I like that this recipe is for a manageable amount.

  14. Hi Miss Janice!
Just stopping by to say hello and thank you so much for not giving up on me. I am going to do my best to start posting again. I have been up to my eyeballs in weddings, but am so blessed to be able to do what I love. Things are starting to slow down a bit (with actual events anyway), but I have much planning to do. I always love taking a quick peek to see what you have been up to. Hopefully I'll get to plan some occasions of my own in the next few weeks.
    Hugs,
    Elizabeth
