--the perfect time of the day here in South Florida. The sun is going down and it's just about as cool as it's gonna get. So I'm having a fresh tomato sandwich, sippin' some Arnold Palmer Iced Tea (1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade), and checking out this new book I received as a gift.
No chips, no salad, nothing but the fabulous tomato sandwich!
By BFF sent me this book by Kelly Cutrone, "If You Have To Cry Go Outside"...Hmmm, she said I need to read it 'cuz it might help me be more agressive. okay. Now y'all, just because I'm an etiquette consultant, that doesn't mean I'm a pushover! So, I thought I was agressive. Guess not:) Miss Teresa Jane, I'm reading.
Love tomato sandwhiches, yum! Have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteAnything on a tomato sandwich?
ReplyDeleteSounds cool, anyway.
Love the mint julep drinks header. Makes me want one.
Trying to stay cool here in the Hoosier state.
xo, Cheryl
Yum to tomato sandwiches!
ReplyDeleteYou stay as sweet as you are Miss Janice!( though I did hear good things about that book).
That tomato sandwich looks yummy. I will be interested to know what you think of that book. Until next time, my best,
ReplyDeleteColleen
Love tomato sandwiches. I saw a recipe for tomato sandwiches. The ingredients were tomato, white bread, mayonaisse, salt and a sink. Looks like you eat yours off of a plate instead of over the sink. It's too hot here in Alabama to sit on the porch.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect evening meal. Mmmm....
ReplyDeleteLove, love tomato sandwiches!! Sounds like a perfect evening. xoxo
ReplyDeleteyour evening sounds very inviting... I'll be right over for some of that Arnold Palmer Iced Tea ... Keep cool, HHL
ReplyDeleteNever had a plain tomato sandwich before! Sounds yummy, do you put a little salt on our tomatoes?
ReplyDeleteI feel for everyone along the East! Luckily, in Chicago it's hot and humid but tolerable!
Have a great night! :)
Miss Janice, you just keep reading and I'll keep my eye on that good ole 'mater sandwich.
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Janice,

Valerie
I've gotten 5 tomatoes off our plants and enjoyed every one. Your sandwich looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to stay cool down here when it's 100.
I'll go get some tea and try. lol
Love, love the tomato sandwich...nothing says summer in the south quite like it...hope the mayo is Duke's!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect evening! I have been wanting to read that book! please keep us all posted as to how you like it.
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love reading your blog, so I thought I would tag you!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, nothing better than a mater sandwich in the summertime!
Oh my, a homegrown tomato (skin removed) 2 slices of Peppridge Farm thin white bread, Duke's mayo and a little salt and pepper....pure heaven!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder, it's almost 'tomato' time, here up north. We usually eat them in silence, because there are no words!
I LOVE tomato sandwiches! You just can't beat 'em! Counting the days until my garden tomatoes are ready...
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect meal to end the day with, especially with how hot and humid it has been here in Virginia! Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Janice! Yum! Nothing is better than a tomato sandwich in the summertime! Of course, I was peeking around your sandwich at your gorgeous rooster plates! lol Love your header! Happy weekend...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteMorning, Miss Janice! We're kindred spirits - Roosters and checks! How wonderful! I love that gawgeous Rooster pillow sitting in that chair. And we do have the same dishes!! Now I grew up in the good ole south - Alabama - and love tomato sandwiches!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book and always remember - you can cry tomorrow because tomorrow's another day! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Have you ever had a fried green tomato sandwich? They are very good. I love tomato sandwiches. How is the book?
ReplyDeleteLove Lilly
This sounds like bliss! xo
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than a tomato sandwich on a hot afternoon. I believe you've set the mood for today's lunch.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that having good manners is thought to be a weakness in character? Many times people believe I'm a push over but it's only because they miss my diplomatic skill in sarcasm.
What a lovely evening. It's been too hot to enjoy our porch here, looking forward from a break from the 100's! I adore tomato sandwiches, I may have to make one for dinner tonight, myself. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLooks so yummy! Can't beat a good tomato sandwich! Your table setting is darling...I love the rooster and checks!
