Especially during spring break, graduation, etc. When I was a young girl, I wouldn't even go the mailbox unless I was dressed and had on makeup. These girls today, they don't even care what they look like...so why in the world would they care how they talk? Loved this post! I understand all your references, I love your blog. Adults, seniors, and teens and younger have the worst manners. We use to dress for a day into town from our grandparents beach home, visit relatives and friends and never ask for a drink of water, it is "old school" if behaving in a civil manner.I could go on and I know you could as well. We regularly hear cursing when out and on TV.....all ages. Thank you for your wonderful blog. Around here, they might have not appreciated my comment and who knows what could have happened. Isn't it just amazing that they think speaking like that is alright. However the parents were not any better. I had to ask a parent to quit using that language around my children. I am not that old yet I know so much better and proudly my kids do too! I so wish people took public behavior more seriously. The Inspired Nesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09483891055027013556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4691615549993586603.post-90248488888858526482011-11-13T20:18:54.414-04:002011-11-13T20:18:54.414-04:00Just like my momma, always blowing on her nails as...Just like my momma, always blowing on her nails as we walked out of the house on Sunday morning!

I would have been mortified to caught behaving like that!Marlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17252526308393667516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4691615549993586603.post-83653180384316840472011-11-13T20:04:27.141-04:002011-11-13T20:04:27.141-04:00Change starts with the parents! I, too, am a teacher and witnessed a female co-worker do something so incomprehensible the other day that I am still reeling from it! I will spare you the gory details, but it involved clearing her throat and removing the contents from her mouth while in the presence of others! We had just finished a shopping trip at Target and was loading our car. Two young men were talking in a car next to ours. The language that was coming out of their mouth was disgusting. I couldn't believe it. They didn't care who was around. As a teenager, I would have never talked like that, especially in public.
