Brighton Love!

Last night was Book Club night. We read "The Help" and I cannot tell y'all how much I love this book. For a change, I was excited to read the book first, then see the movie. I'll be going later this week and I just can't wait to see the characters come to life on the big screen.

As it still blazing hot with a 150% humidity here in Florida, I wanted to be cooler than I was on Saturday. I found this cute little black and white shift at Target for about $14. Thank you very much Target people...I love gingham!
I accessorized with some of my cute Brighton loot. If you have read my "You Might be a Southern Lady if..." you'll know that Southern ladies LOVE Brighton--they just make the cutest stuff. The cute little red pocketbook and coordinating slides are Brighton, as is the choker necklace, three bracelets, the watch with the red band, the earrings, and the 'Love' cologne and body lotion. I used my black monogrammed iPhone cover, wore my roll ring wedding band by Cartier, and my lipstick was 'Star Red' by Chanel.

Actually, the necklace pendant is a keychain charm that I used on the choker!

"Merlot Hour"...Finishing up the book, which is marked by a Brighton bookmark, I enjoyed a glass of Merlot from a Brighton wine goblet...LOVE these y'all! Of course the wine cork is by Brighton as well:)

See the cute little Brighton shoes and pocketbook on the bookmark:)

Well y'all, this Brighton umbrella surely is the cutest umbrella that I own!!!

There's my little red pocketbook!

I don't have this straw pocketbook trimmed with black and white gingham, but I'm on the hunt for it all the time!

I have several Brighton nightlights throughout the house...love 'em!

Of course, this is my favorite one!

Here's another one...

I'm always adding to my Brighton collection and happy that a storeowner who sells Brighton opened nearby recently. Here's an agenda, a Brighton pen, Brighton hairclip {I wear these around the house all the time}, ponytail band, Brighton sunglasses, and another pocketbook that has shoulder straps.

The sweet thing about the Brighton stores...they package your loot in these absolutely adorable bags. Do y'all keep cute shopping bags? I do!

So, here I was off to Book Club...I promise y'all it had JUST finished pouring down rain! {Making for just another 'Bad Ponytail Day'}

Thank you for visiting with me and have a wonderful week. I'll report back later this week after I've been to see the movie!

Can't wait to see the movie. I'm not sure if I want to read the book or not. I may wait and see how well I enjoy the movie.

Loving your Brighton. I have several belts. They seem to make an outfit.

I love Brighton too.
For a bit I worked at a local clothing boutique and the store had Brighton items. I was able to purchase a purse at cost. Which was just wonderful. I wish that I had bought another now but oh well. You only use one at a time.
I also have a great pair of mules that are Brighton and I love them.
I gave my sister the Brighton belts that I had because she made a comment about how she liked them.

Well, I love Brigton myself. Though I did just sell a ton of it on ebay not to long ago. I figured if I sold some of my older stuff, I could buy more new stuff :)

I too read THE HELP at my book club and adored it. Can't wait for the movie this week. I just hope they can make it 1/2 as good as the book. I have a feeling we may be let down. But, I'm keeping my hopes high!

Daughter & I saw a sneaky-peek of The Help last night--it was fantastic! We LOVED it. Much more faithful to the book than I expected. I will definitely see it again! The clothes are just to die for, too...:)

I have to ask about that Oak Leaf wine. Is it any good? I have seen it at Wal-Mart but have too scared to buy it! Please let me know! :)

Hey, Miss J! Oh, you always look so sweet and cute! I need to read that book!
Now, I've decided to keep our party going until Wednesday night, so it's not too late to gather your yard birds if you like!
Be a sweetie,

Why Miss Janice, 150% humidity and you look as fresh as a newly picked magnolia! "Mmm Mmmmm" I also just finished The Help and am looking forward to the movie. I also bought a babble at Brighton last week. Now I just need the bottle of wine and we'd be twins. Enjoy the cool theater. :)

Miss Janice,
I just loved The Help. It was one of those books that you hate to see end.
And...I, too love Brighton. Love that little red handbag of yours!

I too, read the book & adored it! I may have grown up in Texas but things weren't any different. I swear I know each & every person in that book because they all live right here in Midland, Texas, LOL! I tried to read slowly but I just couldn't.

I haven't seen the movie yet but am anxious to do so...
