HERE'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WEARING

I received so many e-mails during my break...readers telling me they missed my "Here's What I Wore" posts! I sometimes tweet photos of my outfits on Twitter and some of the photos are still in my camera...Take a peek!

This outfit I wore on a dreary winter shopping day. I always feel like a Girl Scout when I wear scarves. I'm sure a Girl Scout would love to wearing a Hermes scarf. I wore it with a black cashmere twin sweater set from Neiman Marcus. The tan slacks are from Talbot's and the camel & black ballet flats are by Chanel. I carried my black Chanel 2.55 pocketbook and tied my ponytail with a black grosgrain ribbon. The iPhone cover is black with a white monogram decal from 2PreppyGirls.
Gotta love a Hermes scarf...very classic and well worth the cost..."an investment" is what I tell my husband!

The black Chanel 2.55 pocketbook with gold hardware and Chanel ballet shoes...

Out for lunch, wearing a black houndstooth jacket from Belk's, a red turtleneck and black slacks, both from Macy's. The black ballet flats have pearls on top and are by Cochni.

Stepping out for a birthday lunch, dressed in St. John Knits from head to toe! The red suit, necklace, earrings, and pumps are from St. John Knits and the ivory pocketbook came from a swanky store on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California. Love this suit...another lifetime investment!

I wore this black suit dress with the pretty ivory shawl collar to a dinner party. I've had this dress forever and have no idea where I bought it...some cute now defunct catalog. The pocketbook is the black Chanel 2.55 with silver hardware to coordinate with the black Ferragamo pumps with silver buckels. I'm sure I wore my pearl necklace and pearl stud earrings!

Another lunch outfit...The pink cashmere twin sweater set is from Saks and the black slacks are from Macy's. I wore my pearl necklace, pearl stud earrings, pink & black ballet flats, and carried my black Chanel 2.55 pocketbook with the gold hardware.

Tres casual outfit for Book Club Night...Coldwater Creek white shirt, Ralph Lauren jeans, and pink and green monogrammed clogs from The Pink Monogram...
Love these Pink Monogram clogs!
Hostess gift I carried to my Book Club hostess...a flamingo coozie and pink straw with a flamingo! This will be great for her canned drinks...and one of the acceptable times to drink using a straw!
Shopping outfit for a chilly day in South Florida...Black turtleneck, black vest, and black slacks. Louis Vuitton pouchette pocketbook and sage green suede ballet flats with the pearls, by Cochni.
The little Louis Vuitton pouchette and the green sage ballet flats by Cochni.

I wore this black St. John Knits suit with black Ferragamo pumps to an etiquette program I conducted for 125 students at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Ft. Pierce. This suit is another lifetime investment that I just love!
Out for a casual dinner...Magenta pink turtleneck from Belk's, black 'Jackie' cardigan sweater throw from J.Crew, black slacks from Macy's, and magenta pink 'Revas' by Tory Burch. The belt in ancient...black leather with a cute elephant buckle.
Ready to leave the house in less than 30 mintues...never a good idea! Wearing a magenta pink turtleneck from Belk's and a black running suit by Ralph Lauren. The sequin print on my cap??? "Bad Hair Day!" {Or in my case...Bad Ponytail Day!}

Lunch? Shopping? Maybe both! A black turtleneck sweater from Belk's and black slacks from Macy's...jazzed up with my blue Lilly print scarf by LWhelanDesigns. I wore my turquoise suede ballet flats by Lilly and carried a black tote monogrammed in turquoise.
So, that's "What I've Been Wearing!" Of course, now my thoughts are turning to Pink & Green clothes for Spring. I'm totally chompin' at the bit to bring out my Jack Rogers...but, I must NOT wear open-toed shoes until after Easter! I must not! No matter how many cute girls I see traipsing around South Florida wearing darling shorts and cute beach shoes, I just can't bring myself to do it! So until then, I will wear my transition wardrobe {which ain't all that cute} and lighten up the colors until Easter!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

I am quite envious of your wardrobe! Being a farm girl, I rarely have a chance to dress up. However, I MUST have a pair of those Cochni shoes with the pearls. I have searched the internet and can't find them. We'll be in Flrida, near Sarasota, in May. Can you tell me where I can buy a pair?

Love your blog!

So good to see you back and all decked out in your cute outfits. Your pink SJ suit jacket reminds me of one I have hanging in my closet from many years ago. My suit is the same pink as your jacket and has gold frogs covered in faux diamonds for buttons on the jacket. I loved that suit and may drag it out and wear it on an up-coming trip we have planned. You look so darlin' in yours, thanks for the inspiration.
xoxo,
Sue

Ruth Ann,
I have the ballet flats with the pearls by Cochni in black and sage green! I adore them!!! I believe I bought the black pair at www.snappy-turtle.com in Delray Beach, Florida. I bought the green pair at www.twofriends2.com in Perry, Georgia. Good luck with your search...they are so precious!

Oh Miss Janice...I'm drooling over that Hermes scarf. Very nice indeed. I just purchased a nice silk scarf last week. I wore it on Friday. I love wearing scarves and hats with (of course) my pearls. You look marvelous.

Happy Spring!!!
