Santa in France

Welcome to my tiny cottage kitchen here at The Roost. This Christmas I wanted to "Use what I have" in the kitchen to decorate; last year I decorated with lime green and red and it was NOT a pretty match for the kitchn...so, I moved those decos to another area...the porch! This year I decided to use my red KMart dishes...from 'The Country Living' collection. With those dishes in mind, I chose a "Santa in France" theme. Y'all come on in and take a look! I've made some chocolat chaud ...it's so cold here in South Florida!!!

Here I am wearing the latest piece of my 'Hostess Apron' Collection...This one is tres chic for Christmas:) It's a burgundy toile Christmas pattern and I found it on Etsy y'all! *LOVE*

Mama gave me one of her old Santa serving trays...perfect for the occasion!
Chocolat chaud is served...with chocolate flavored marshmallows which are filled with chocolate chips!

The island is set with a Frenchy theme...

Pere Noel rules the island pot rack!
Jean Paul says "Joyeux Noel!"
A little tree full of fleur de lis ornaments and fleur de lis gift card holders...

LOVE these little gift card holders...the satin ribbon handles are printed with a "Joyeux Noel" message!

Vintage Pere Noel greeting card on the Eiffel Tower...

Fleur de lis linens...

Joyeux Noel y'all!

The kitchen table is set...

Garland on the chandelier...

Love the centerpiece...Chef Pere Noel. I found him at Neiman Marcus! *LOVE*

Bon Appetit Y'all! Look at the adorable fleur de lis buttons! He was made for moi!!! I am already dreading putting him away after Christmas:(
He's holding this cute basket...

The placesetting...as I mentioned earlier, I'm just using what I have and making it festive for Christmas!

"Santa in France" ornaments are placed in the soup bowls...found them years ago at Macy's...I think!

I found these darling vintage "Joyeux Noel" cards on Etsy. *LOVE* They were perfect for this placesetting and work well with the fleur de lis placecard holders.
My signature gingham fabric napkins...with rooster napkin rings.
Perfect pillow for the chairs...

A tabletop tree with fleur de lis ornaments--on the sideboard...a coordinating gingham runner is perfect to coordinate with the napkins on the table.

The little tree on the sideboard...

Santas adorn the lamps...

Again, using what I have, I placed some of the 'Country Living' plates on the hutch and added my Santa collection to make it bright & cheery and ME!
A little French Christmas love on top of the hutch!

A sleigh-style tabletop tree, decorated with vintage Santa ornaments...
The garland is cotton ribbon inscribed with fleur de lis and a "Joyeux Noel" message. I also used some raffia to add another texture to the tree.

Pere Noel with the rooster dishes...

Some of my old Paris-themed ornaments in a red rooster-ish bowl.

Pere Noel stuck in a jar!

The breakfast counter is set for a morning snack...in France, of course!
The Pere Noel pillows for the bar chairs...
The placesetting...the dinnerware is 'Parisian Scenes', by Mikasa.

Love this pattern...perfect for a mid-morning snack and coffee!

The fleur de lis napkins were de rigueur for this setting!
There is Pere Noel...again! He's making his list and checking it twice...gonna find out who's naughty and nice! Pere Noel is coming to town y'all!
The creamer and sugar bowl {stocked with Absinthe sucre}.
Chocolat croissant and french sugar cookies...

That's it for the tour of my cottage kitchen. I will be back with more Christmas decorations later in the week! I hope that y'all are having a wonderful Christmas season!!!

Love your home and how everything is so pulled together. I have to confess that I am quite smitten with Pere Noel--I may have to go looking for one of those for myself.

Merry Christmas!!
