It's Sunday Y'all--Church and Lunch

It's Sunday and I spent the morning in church and then lunch at Panera Bread. After lunch I popped into Barnes and Noble 'cuz I don't have enough reading material :) HomeGoods and Michaels were next, then I went over to Dillard's to check out some Lilly items.

"Here's What I Wore" This classic shift is the 'Via Lilly Map Shift', by Lilly and since it's always 32 degrees in church, I carried a white cardigan to wear, by Land's End. If I'm being perfectly honest, I must say that I always carry a sweater when wearing a sleeveless dress/top...there comes an age when your arms need to be covered y'all! That's all I'm gonna say about that.

AND, If you haven't noticed by now, I love the classic shifts by Lilly.
I always choose Lilly shifts with bright and classic patterns and this one is soooo cute...all the streets in Palm Beach. High fallutin'!!!
I wore my white Revas by Tory Burch...closed-toe shoes and stockings for church, of course!!! I carried a little white Bermuda bag and wore a pearl bracelet and pearl earrings and my roll ring wedding band by Cartier. My ponytail was adorned with a white grosgrain ribbon bow and my fragrance of choice for the day was 'Wink' by Lilly.

Ready to go to church! In the heat of the summer--I figure I'm overdressed...some of the ladies wear white polyester slacks *gasp* and sleeveless tops...Lord have mercy!

On to lunch at one my fav spots--Panera Bread!!! Have y'all tried the summer lobster sandwich? It's served on ciabatta bread, with sweet chunks of lobster meat, a bit of romaine lettuce, and a touch of mayo. The full sandwich is a whopping $16.99. However, I always order the 'Pick Two' and the step-up cost for the 'Pick Two' with the lobster sandwich brings the total to $15.00. I enjoyed the 1/2 lobster sandwich, cup of cheddar broccoli soup, and Panera Bread chips...love the chips, which are crispy but not greasy and cooked in sunflower oil.
My 'proper Panera setting'...napkin on the left, the fork to the left of the plate will be used to eat any sandwich filling bits that fall out, soup spoon on the plate--never left in the bowl. The sandwich bread is thick; however, I still practice the 'three-finger rule' and hold the sandwich with both hands, using the thumb, index, & middle fingers of each hand. :)

The whole sandwich is 810 calories...405 calories for the 1/2. :) If you like lobster, give this sandwich a try. This special summer treat will only be served until Labor Day!!

Oh, I do hope y'all have a wonderful week! Thank you so much for stopping by to visit with me.

Adorable dress! Panera's is one of my favorites ... never had a bad soup, salad or sandwich there. Always find the servers to be a friendly group too.

I love Panera Bread! I don't think they offer the lobster sandwich here in Texas. I guess we're to far inland.:)
PS You looked adorable, as usual Miss Janice!

Hi Miss Janice! Just stopping by for my fashion show (need some inspiration for work outfit tomorrow!lol) I love shifts - they just look right on almost everyone's body(provided the length is where it should be!!lol) You look so pretty again today!! I know about the arm thing - I was holding my arm up hanging on to the holder in hubby's truck the other day and the wind was blowing my sleeve up - I glanced in the side mirror and saw - well you know what I saw happening I guess!lol I was horrified - flapping in the wind like that!!! It doesn't help our young receptioninst has toned her arms beautifully!lol I just had lunch with my daughter last week at Panera but didn't even notice the lobster - this week it will be a must!!! Hope you found something at HomeGoods!!!? Have a great week - Sincerely, Jeannette

Today, I wore my Lilly shift with the apple green alligator's and an apple green cardigan. I actually wore a pair of Jack Rogers sandals instead of my Tretorns. My first time at wearing shoes other than sneakers since October. They were a little bit uncomfortable, but I need to get used to them. Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.

That shift is adorable. Another great outfit. I have not been to Panera for months. I love anything with lobster in it. One of my favorite restaurants has a lobster club sandwich and it is fab. Hope you had a lovely weekend. :)

Oh, Miss Janice, you look as pretty as a picture and as cool as a cucumber in your pretty Lily frock! I'm like you - sleeveless dresses in church just don't look right! :) Well, I'd probably love your 32' in church! I'm always so hot! :)
Lunch looks and sounds good!
Hope your weekend was marvelous, Most Polite One. ;0
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I love Panera bread. And your church outfit is darling- I also can't stand it when people show up looking too casual. It's church not a baseball game!!

Well I'm going to have to go to Panera and have that sandwich! I have one right by me but we stopped going a few years ago and just go to Atlanta Bread Company out of habit. That dress is so cute - I love the colors!
