WHAT'S IN MISS JANICE'S COOKIE JAR?

The man said these were the last Girl Scout Cookies, in South Florida...I believed him!!!

When I participated in the Relay for Life event a couple of weekends ago, one of the groups raising money for the Cancer Society was selling Girl Scout Cookies. I made it through February and March, passing the young girls selling their loot at Publix, Target, and Walmart before caving in at the Relay for Life! Now they are in my cute little MacKenzie-Childs cookie jar!!!The Lemon Chalet Cremes, the Trefoils Shortbread, the Samoas, and my personal fav now--the Berry Munch. $4.50 a box...Lord have mercy, when I was a Brownie, I sold the cookies for fifty cents a box. By the way y'all, Miss Janice never made it to The Girl Scouts--the Troop Leader said I wasn't serious enough! That's okay, I loved the little Brownie outfit...wasn't so crazy about the Girl Scout outfit or all those campfires:)

Seriously, The Girl Scouts is a wonderful organization for young girls and the cookies are still worth $4.50/box!!!

So, I'm enjoying some cookies and milk this afternoon and reading some of y'all's blogs. Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and have a wonderful day!

We usually only have two flavours of cookies here...dreadful chocolate and dreadful not-chocolate. Once in a while we get the mint ones - my personal weakness!

Enjoy your milk and cookies!

Hi Miss Janice! Now I haven't eaten a Girl Scout cookie in forever! Are they still good? I'm loving you MC pieces! The cookie jar is so pretty and that plate!
Take care and be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Miss Janice,
Your tray is just too cute and you can never go wrong with Girl Scout cookies! I enjoyed my time in Girl Scouts and honestly if a Brownie is too serious about it, there's something wrong!

Oh my goodness. You brought back a lot of childhood memories. I was a Girl Scout for two years. I remember selling my cookies around the neighborhood, family, and family friends. I like the mint cookies. Those Lemon Chalet Cremes look yummy.

I live for the annual Girl Scout cookie sales!!!

I also remember selling those cookies for fifty cents a box! Guess that dates us.... I wasn't very good at sales -- my approach was to ring the bell and then say, "You wouldn't want any Girl Scout cookies, would you?" LOL! Good thing I didn't go into business as an adult!

We don't have those strawberry ones here in CA :( They sound yummy but I sure do love the other ones.

Your cookie jar is darling!

Wow hoo, our girl scout cookies are still just $3.50! You were lucky to score some. I got sad when all the little girls in our neighborhood outgrew girl scouts. I think they were .75 cents a box when I was selling them.

Still have my green uniform with patches!

oh miss janice, i never made it to girl scouts either! campfires and tents - not for me! i did earn that cookie patch though and mother sewed it onto my brownie sash. i cannot resist the peanut butters or thin mints each year. glad you bought yours at relay for life. our relays are starting up north soon and i'm sure there will be some leftover girl scout cookies here, too!

Our "Girl Scout Cookies" have nearly been polished off!
We love them here too and my cookie jar loves them too! Each time I turn around, my cookie jar eats another one.
Your blog is wonderful. Do you know "Manners by Mindy" - We met last week, I am in hopes she can come to our school for a teen manners event.
Pretty things here!!

I love MacKenzie Childs, but don't have her cookie jar (but trust me, darlin', you have inspired me to shop onward)). I'm presently slimming so gave the gals the money and told them to give the cookies to a family that sorely wanted the cookies but couldn't afford them.

As for the Girl Scout cookies, I just can't get enough, they are delicious! I look forward to the Lemon Chalet Cremes and the Tagalongs every year! Hubby loves the Thin Mints..I love them after they have been in the freezer crushed up over ice cream!

The black and white is quite nice, Miss Janice. And the cookie jar is just perfect for those cookies. I haven't purchased girl scout cookies in many years. All the little scouts have grown up and moved on.

Best,
